one of my mates went out in the snow and ice in hers and was going past some small 4x4's that where stuck.

Probably went past me in my BMW too...

A mate clocked up 110k miles in his Cooper very quickly with no major problems.

Having driven his a bunch of times, personally, i think they are good to drive but the interior is a little cramped in the standard Mini's, especially considering that you can get Focuses and Golfs and so on for the same money (perhaps with better specs too).

Yeah, but lets be honest - the cooper S in a gun metal grey is a sexy beast - far sexier than a golf/focus.

Yup. But if you gotta drive the thing every day... i'm not saying they're bad cars, just very small for the money.

I've had a Cooper S a couple of times when the BMW's been in the shop, and I like them fun little car to drive

After 2 years of being stuck and sliding around I splashed out on winter wheels with Avon Ice Touring tyres last winter for my 320d
man what a difference, I even towed a small car up a hill I wouldn't of even dared drive up with its normal wheels on

Than a car discussion? Sure you're on the right forum here?

Not if you're my wife.

Well, if it's gonna be a Mini, just make sure it is at least a Cooper...

Matchbox over Hot Wheels any time.

I concur. Hot wheels were built for kids....matchbox were built for the men in kids.
