Must I? Y'all cracking on like the guy's a freaking 'tard and he's actually doing something quite difficult that requires a high level of skill.

I'd love to see anyone on here do better than him. Oh wait, none of us would get the car out of the pits!

But none of us claim to be F1 drivers as he does.

No, but having a go at a driver for spinning is pretty low. It doesn't take much to spin one of these things.

But surely it shouldn't take much for an F1 driver, worth his salt, to take the car for a couple of laps round a few roads without stacking it.

I heard not long ago that a modern F1 car is so finely tuned that the margin for error is tiny. Quite a highly strung beast these machines.

I heard that the Earth is flat.....

Oh no! I had to explain to my boss that the earth was round, he couldn't figure out how you could fly from US to New Zealand without going via europe, when I said they'd go the other way his reply was 'yeah, via south africa'. Did I get it wrong?

Turn left at Cleethorpe. he must have been turning right.

how do you explain his inability do do a handful of laps in a publicity event? must be just as hard as Monaco as he crashed there too! :hehe:

it's okay, you're well within your right to believe he's a fantastic F1 driver. :headpat:

It's fair to compare his skills to others in similar positions surely?

I.E this was poor skills relative to other F1 drivers, Maldonaldo is an F1 driver, holds a super-license.

If a Pilot crashes a plane, do you say, well he/she has done dozens of flights without crashing, you couldn't even manage one, ergo you have no right to criticise to the coroner?

I never said he was a fantastic driver but he is certainly not the worst. Just a bit over aggressive at times but he'll calm down as time goes on.

It was Hugo Chavez's fault.

And why is that so?

I think that was just a political joke. Chavez is pretty funny... almost up there with Putin.

so did he crash his car during a publicity stunt because he was being over aggressive or because he's not the worst F1 driver. embarrassing situation for an F1 driver with a super license regardless.

We'll get a press release or an interview soon enough where we find that it wasn't his fault and that it's normal.

I am sure he is not the 1st of the last f1 driver to crash on one of these PR days.

IIRC didn't Vettel take the nose of a red bull doing the same thing once

Bit of a wild assumption there. For all we know there could have been a mechanical failure. I wouldn't go jumping to conclusions just 'cos you hate the guy.

These things happen to the best of us - embarrassing f*** ups that shouldn't have happened.

So now weve gone from the fact the cars "are hard to drive, so we cant blame him" to, "it could be mechanical failure"?

How many excuses are you going to come up with for him? I bet even Karthikeyan could manage more than 2 laps without crashing it. :hehe:

It's called hypothesising. It's better than jumping to conclusions 'cos you're desperate to hate someone.

I hypothesize that Sir Frank Williams stood up from his chair to shake his fist.
