Today I boxed up my three month old $500 DSLR ready to send it back to Canon tomorrow. Last week I took the camera out of it's bag to discover there was dirt all over the sensor, mirror and focusing screen, I managed to get the sensor cleaned but the local camera shop couldn't do anything about the dirt on the focusing screen. Then today, while using the camera, the focusing screen and it's metal mount fell out of place and onto the floor when I removed the lens to see what happened. It's likely the the mirror has also been damaged with metal pieces rattling around in the mirror chamber. To say the least I am distinctly unimpressed with the build quality is an understatement.

I am not sure if you quoted the wrong person or saying MOA's camera is his baby.

Yesterday was BAD!!! If you know me on facebook or twitter you already know.Spiders were in my house!!!!The big black ones with knees!!!!!! and one was on my head The last time a spider was on my head I screamed and dropped a baby!!(I realise how that might sound, I dropped the baby out of my arms onto the floor) What is it with spiders and my head??????? Its my worst nightmare! Its why I never took LSD!!!! Why do they come after me?? I didn't think these nasty ones with knees would like it in the Alps, I thought it would be too hot and dry, but no! Here they are! Was too traumatised to post about this last night. And after the head episode another one comes waltzing along the floor towards me!! I threw the French/English dictionary at it and luckily I got it....because the only other throwing object in range was my kindle. Very worried now that one might pop up anywhere!!.

I'm now in Lancashire! Had a lovely few pints in the evening sunshine at the local last night. Bliss.

Today I went to the Hospital. Got a hair cut (not in the hospital). Put my watch in for a battery replacement (£49!!!). Tried to buy some clothes, but couldn't find anything I like.

Tonight is the start of a weekend of fun for the wife and I. Tonight we go to the local town center for a few drinks and dinner. Tomorrow we are spending a full day up in London as a pair of tourists - looking at all the sights, maybe get a bus tour in, cocktails in Covent Garden etc.... going to be FUN!

Today I went to the Kings Arms again for a walk by the Thames.... I may of popped in for a pint as well. Then this evening I had a BBQ with the inlaws

Did a lot of walking in the sun today. So nice to be up North and away from London for a bit. Tomorrow, I travel to Scotland for a week.
