I'll give you di Resta but Lewis also benefited from Maldonado and Perez' woes, if they didn't collide; they would both have finished ahead of Lewis, so would would have moved back two places and yes, Jenson would have failed to score; but moving up four places is still better than going backwards two places. Are McLaren's woes because of putting their eggs in the Jenson basket, have they put eggs in anyone's basket? It seems to me that McLaren are plain and simply falling behind while everyone else is accelerating in the development race!
Yes you can argue Jenson made up more places Lewis, but what cars was each driver respectively battling with?Several of the cars jenson 'overtook' were out due to incidents, cant remember them all but Maldonado, Perez and Di Resta spring to mind.
