I wonder how far Alonso will be able to climb this time? Damage limitation? Or will he still manage to somehow make the podium again?

If we have a full dry race, he might even fall back. A wet race, and anything can happen even Button could win.

Clear, hot and dry at the moment it seems. Here's a tweet from Martin Brundle on twitter:

Yes getting really wet at Hungaroring now. With sweat, baking hot and blue skies
Probably talking about the sweat being wet not rain!

So no mention of any sort of against seb for the driving off the track thing? :banghead:

So we had Jackie Stewart on the podium in Silverstone, Niki Lauda at Hockenheim... will we have a Grand Prix legend firing the questions here at Budapest?

Zsolt Baumgartner springs to mind! :hehe: Anyone remember him picking up Minardi's sole point of the year at Indy back in 2004?

Just realized something about Q today, the track certainly got slower in Q3 as 8 out of the 10 drivers in Q3 managed SLOWER times than their Q2 results. The only two quicker? Lewis Hamilton and Romain Grosjean.

Don't they add fuel for Q3 because they have to fill it with what they want to run in the first stint of the race with?

No this was in previous years. They need to run in the setup which they will be running in the race, but qualifying loads can be qualifying spec.

I forgot to add the smiley .

So many places that want to host a F1 race and you still have to include Hungary on the Circuit?
This couldn't be any more boring. The only cars that were actually passed on the track were HRT and Marussia...
I mean I get it with Monaco – boring track in terms of overtaking possibilities, but as a compensation you get a unique atmosphere and a race that's really challenging for the drivers. But, here... seriously, I don't get it...

WHAT A RACE LEWIS :cloud9: god what a nail biter!

Well done to Lewis and team. Give the guy a reasonable car and do everything just about right (a slow pit stop today but...) and he will win. Just that simple. What made his drive more masterful today is his maturity in managing those tyres despite the pressure from Kimi looming ever closer in his mirrors. Nice!

I'm just saying...

Damn it! :irked:

Oh well. Spa next, so I can only hope Kimi gets a win there instead.

Fantastic race by Hamilton though, looked after the tyres well, put in the laps where they were needed and was definitely lucky that Grosjean also had a pit issue; had he come out behind Romain, I think this would have been Kimi's. Kimi is definitely the most impressive driver for me this season, he's just awesome. :)

Vettel showing his true colours... "I'm faster than him, do something....do something!" Erm.......is Vettel not the driver then? It beggars belief!!

Indeed, asks his team to do something so and somehow they get martin to pit button :/, wierd wierd decision
