As it seems everyone was delighted by The Trout, yesterday I spent most of my day at the Kings Arms in Sanford

Agreed

Sitting outside that pub, next to the water, in the summer would be bliss. :cloud9:

We should have an Oxford Forumula1.com meetup at one of these pubs. Jabber! Get organising!:wink::whip:

Oxford does have some absolutely brilliant pubs, some are bloody expensive though. One place wanted £3.80 for a pint of crappy Fosters! I refused to pay...

I was in the Blackboy and that was a bit steep on pricing. SWMBO works in a local pub that is cheaper.

I went to work, far more exciting than it sounds.

Went to work, stopped off at B&Q on the way home to buy a chainsaw to tackle the garden with (no joke) spent 3 hours destroying weeds higher than my head, back inside for dinner, phone call from my mum to tell me that a girl I went to school with died yesterday after a massive asthma attack... :(

I know, it's terrible. I was friends with her while we were at school, but as with many friends that kind of drift off and do their own thing, I never really heard much about her after that, so it's incredibly tragic but I don't really know how I feel to be honest. It did kind of hit my like a wall briefly, but not sure, kind of difficult to explain... I think it's made me feel more kind of reflective that it actually was so long ago that we'd have been friends if that makes sense, and think just how fast time has gone past...

It kindov takes you back to what feels like another life doesn't it. And the sadness is at someone who was in that life is no longer here. On another note, its bad that someones died of asthma in this day and age, its generally controllable.

Yeah, I think that's it exactly - it was pretty difficult to put into words but I think that's it. I know, it just seems like something that should be so avoidable.
