Well, no one was ever gonna beat Hamilton, he is really on form here. Bizarre by Red Bull to send Vettel so early, that definitely cost him. Good time by Grosjean.

The big question now is will that rain arrive during the race?!

Hoping the high temps will help Lotus tomorrow.

Got a feeling we'll see guys trying to stop as little as possible for track position, which may throw up some interesting curveballs if the tyres go off.

Awesome quali for my fantasy team though, all drivers in the top 6, all engine and chassis in the top 7!

Not many hammy fans flooding out to celebrate that pole :irked:

So ill do it more :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::thumbup::thumbup::clap::clap::clap::thumbup::thumbup:

Lets hope this signifies a resurgent Mclaren to challenge Fernando and the RB's for the rest of the season, especially if the Lotus's and button ( :P ) can take some points from fernando that would be lovely

Solid stuff from McLaren, but I think this circuit suited the car more than Ferrari and Redbull.

Interesting as this is the first time I think that the Lotus's have really qualified so high up, but their pace in the first stint is normally poor. Hamilton's race could depend on Grosjean keeping Vettel behind him.

Alonso has done pretty much ok, getting the car as far up as it can go. I think Ferrari have a good chance at a podium for the race, I think Alonso will be aggressive at the start, last race but Ferrari's made clear headway at the start (Massa's took him into the back of Senna).

45% chance of rain according to BBC weather: http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/features/19012938.

Williams really needed to have both drivers score points here, they've thrown away many good opportunities and are now some way behind Sauber.

Lotus look to have 4th spot clinched, but I wonder if they can also get ahead of Ferrari or McLaren in the constructors. Massa is starting to come back in qualifying, but he needs incident free races.

Looking at today's qualifying times Lewis would have been sitting on the grid between Kimi and Fernando in Q3 with the times he set in Q1 on prime tires. :yikes:

Without rain this is Hamilton's race to lose.

If Alonso makes the podium in the dry, that would be an excellent result, but as he says, 4th or 5th with Webber behind would be good damage limitation.

Rain, if it happens, will definitely throw the fox among the pigeons.

Hamilton has not won from pole this season has he? Let's hope for a clean start and clean pitstops from the team and...no bad luck. He'll bring it home.

YES!! YES!! YES!! (I'll stop there :P )
Yeeehaa!!, he dominated! That was an ace performance!! I couldn't get on before cos I had to wait for BBC highlights. That was so lewis!! :cloud9:
Really pleased to see the Lotus boys up there, and to see Senna in Q3. Thats my best three things.
Lewis on pole (the very best)
Grosjean 2nd and Kimi doing good.
Senna getting in the mix

Couldn't watch the qualify but followed the results in twitter and live chat in here.In twitter people said Red Bull ''sacrificed'' Ricciardo for making Vettel to Q2.Is that true? Also,I am totally disappointed with both Mercedes drivers and Webber!

Anyways,Lewis did really well and so did Jenson, finally ! :cloud9:

Well, Ricciardo was in the pits when it was clear he had a poor time for Q3 (might even have been in the drop zone) and had time to go out again (excluding any problems which I'm not aware of any).

The best thing that could happen for this Championship is for Lewis to win tomorrow. Having a really good car going into the Summer break will create anxious moments and sleepless nights for other teams over the 5 weeks they are not allowed to work. I'm not being selfish...just thinking about the heightened level of excitement going all the way to the last race, maybe last lap. I would love to see this be a Lewis vs. Alonso year. Epic stuff! :)

I'm just saying...

Three things can stop LH winning tomorrow, one of the crash kids running into him, a mechanical failure or a McLaren relapse in the pitstops. Hoping that JB can continue his resurgence and finish on the podium, I think it'll be HAM, VET and BUT for the podium! Hoping that Williams can get two points finishes; they've badly underscored given the car they have!
