Ahh, then you won't be having that car much longer. I see a nice sensible minivan for you in the near future. :hehe:

I fear your way of thinking may be right. Ive got until christmas to persuade my better half to let me keep it although thinking about it I will probably be fighting a losing battle. :(

I see a diesel estate coming in the near future. :crying:

I will be listing all mods today, i have not forgotten.

I had to get rid of a 1992 Saab 900 for that same reason, I wish I still had that car. Just keep reminding yourself that its temporary.

:)
I like that. Yeah I suppose these are the sacrifices you have to make in life sometimes.
Talking of Saab's I know all about those too. Very understated cars. It was not until I drove a 900 T16 that I realised why Saab owners are loyal to their brand. I owned a Saab 9000 Aero too and it was a very sad day when that went.
I surprised many people in that beast.

I also had a 9000 turbo, it was after the minivan, maybe trying to get something back. It was the first car I'd ever had with 16 inch wheels and V rated 50 series rubber, it actually had almost as much horsepower as my 911 does but then again it was about 700 lbs heavier.

So how is she treating you and what are your overall impressions? The only flaw I found in every 911 I have driven ('06 Carrera was the last) was my feet/shoes were to big yet with practice it was a joy to drive as you know.

I have made a few strides towards upgrades on my Miata and will be installing new Eibach springs and Bilstein shocks this week aswell as upgrading/changing the stock trans/diff fluids to Redline products. I should see a noticeable difference in the overall smoothness even though she still shifts like a hot knife through a stick of butter.

Regards :)

Honestly Tex? More fun than a mistress! Funny you mention that about the pedals as it's one thing I've fiddled around with a lot. I did install aluminum pedals and moved them around slightly to suit me and it's helped quite a bit. The biggest change was lifting the gas pedal about an inch from where it sat and angled it slightly as it's allowed me to heel/toe where I couldn't before.

I might still need to fiddle with the seat slide as one notch is too close and the other is too far. The pedals are rather far in the well so I was thinking of drilling a middle hole.

It's been like learning to drive all over again, having the engine hanging out the back and being able to leverage the ability of turning the car with the throttle is a hell of a lot of fun but I can say it's been the most difficult car to drive I've ever owned! But I'm learning all of her quirks and likes and dislikes and the one thing I can't complain about is the amount of feedback she gives me. I was able to drive an 08 Boxter the other day at an autocross for one run and the car was immensely quicker and so much more refined but it felt numb by comparison.

Nothing but joy from the purchase so thanks for asking!
