If Vettel didn't like having Lewis infront of him, why didn't he just overtake him again as you would do with every other backmarker.....?

Oh that's right, because he couldn't, as Lewis was much faster.

There would be no point risking a smash or wrecking his tyres.

Eitherway, backmarkers should not be getting in the way of the leaders.

Minor correction... he wasn't in the way, he was actually behind Vettel until he caught up to him and passed him because Vettel was impeding his progress at that point.

But to get back to your point, here's why that claim is utter crap... what if there's an accident and the safety car comes out? All of the sudden he's 15 seconds behind the leader instead of 60.

Although I trust Andrew that you'll be making the opposite argument should it happen to Vettel in race. Being overtaken by a back marker is pretty embarrassing but it isn't as bad as you're making it out... at least is was Lewis and not Karthkeyan.

Oh what a surprise. I'm getting told my opinion is utter crap! You do know it is possibleto have a discussion without resorting to trying to belittle and embarrass the other person. I'd ask that you extend the same courtesy and respect to me that you show to other members but a leopard doesn't change it's spots.

F**k it.

It's much ado about nothing, Hamilton didn't break any rules, any driver is allowed to unlap themselves if they are faster; Vettel wasn't impeded, Hamilton started to drive away from Vettel. So what you are saying Andrew is that Hamilton should have just followed Vettel around at his pace for the remainder of the race?...

Hope bud comes back though, he had some decent opinions to put across even if he had some colorful words to throw in with them. :hehe:

McLaren are back, dominating the first session so far.

I wouldnt get your hopes up just yet. Its just FP1. McLaren have been fastest in FP1 in the majority of races this year so far.

So many teams use it as testing time, that the lap times don't really mean much....

edit - they have been fastest in FP1 for 6 out of the 10 completed race weekends so far.
