I bet it was. :)

It's a fantastic and fascinating city, and the history of it is really exciting. Read any book by Charles Dickens, and more often than not, the routes and places he describes are still there today. Immense. :cloud9:

I'd go there but it's too expensive and I wouldn't go on my own. Me and a pal were thinking of going back in 2005 but it never got past the thinking stage. Probably a god thing that the trip didn't happen.

Yep prices certainly rocket there. When I go back up North to Lancashire, buying some fish n' chips, or a pint, is soooooooooo cheap in comparison!

Same up here. Aberdeen is unnecessarily expensive, despite being what is technically known as a dump. One of the supervisors at work went to Manchester to watch Bruce Springsteen and bought a good sized portion of fish and chips for about £4 whilst up here it would be nearer £7 and you'd probably get less and the fish was from Aberdeen!

North-East Scotland is paradise for Eastern Europeans, seagulls, pedo's (Peterhead prision) and Donald Trump.

Man, I wish I could move somewhere nicer, preferably in the middle of nowhere with no neighbours to annoy me! :irked:

Nah, up north or on the West coast. Never been past Braemar as far as going west is concerned and never been past Inverness going north but it looks so peaceful. I could just spend days walking around hills and forests and beaches and wotnot. :cloud9:

They are after volunteers in work for anyone who wants to go and due security, unfortunatly I am needed to much supporting it where I am. Tis a shame as I have heard what the place is like that some of my mates are staying they are saying ***** (5 Star) hotels.

Day 1 and it's gone wrong already at Hampden.

London 2012: North Koreans walk off after flag row

Oops!

Just saw this on the news. What a seriously awkward balls-up. And then the grandstands at the first women's football game were only half full.

Hmm. Great advert for the start of the games.

I'm more surprised about the fact that North Korea has enough food to feed an Olympic team.

Are you telling me that you're not tossing and turning in bed with excitement over the upcoming games? :yikes:

You shock me!
