Dont forget boys and girls if you dont have sky you may be able to get it free this weekend weekend you will have the F1 channel so book the day off Friday and watch Hour after Hour of great action, F1 Legends and Leg Ends enjoy

You will need to have sky (or possibly Virgin) to recieve the sky sports channels, it's just that they will be free to watch for non-sky-sports subscribers this weekend.

My flat is currently fitted with Virgin Media. This is beginning to sound promising. What a shame I'm only free on Sunday!

If you are a Sky or Virgin Media customer, all you have to do is simply turn to the Sky Sports Channel of your choice and enjoy! For any other platform, please contact your provider.

I'm hoping it's as simple as that and that you don't have to be a sky customer through VM or anything like that.

Mark Webber tells us what he really thinks of the current Hockenhiemring circuit

skysports.com
Mark Webber says he is not looking forward to this weekend's German Grand Prix as he dislikes the new shorter layout at Hockenheim.

Under pressure from Formula 1 bosses, the track was dramatically altered ahead of the 2002 race with German designer Hermann Tilke recruited to create a shorter lap, thus meaning the fans saw more of the cars.

The long blasts through the forest disappeared as the track was cut from 4.2 miles in length to 2.8 miles with the action now mainly centred on the stadium section.

Webber, whose best result at Hockenheim came in 2004 when he finished sixth for Jaguar, admits that every time he drives the track, his mind drifts back to the old circuit.
"The race is at Hockenheim this year and, to be honest, I much prefer the Nurburgring," Webber said on his official website.

"The old Hockenheim was a really cracking circuit; it was a flat-out blast through the forest and every time I brake for Turn 2 on the new track I wish we continued in a straight line, on the route of the old circuit.

"There are a couple of overtaking places on the current track, particularly into the hairpin at the end of the back straight. But it's not that thrilling to drive and it's not even that technical.

"The Germans love F1, so there's a big following for the German drivers at this race. There are plenty of them - five - so there should be a good atmosphere come race day."

It was voted #1 for worst butchered track in F1 history, and no wonder. You can't butcher a track as bad as they did to Hockenheim...if you want to do worse, maybe make a hairpin at Spa just before Eau Rouge and reconnect it at the end of Sector 2....wait, that still sounds better than Hockenheim.

Yeah. This tack is not interesting now as it was. I remember the race in 2000, when it rained on the half track and another half was dry. Rubens won on the dry tyres. And of course, the main Special thrill of this track was combination of long straights and slow sector of stadium. Now, the whole track is the same in general...

I don't know, do the sky channels (scrambled or not) show up in the channel lists?

I will investigate this!! I get TV via the Astra2 satellite....but I don't know if that anything to do with sky.

Worth having a look, I guess if it is available unscrambled it'll be on from tomorrow morning.
