Everything that can be said about the matter has been said. People are just repeating it all in different ways. It's just becoming a trolling excercise.

I rather like the Super Maldonado Kart video though. :hehe:

So at what point will they start handing the guy something more than a drive through or a grid penalty? Today's example was another one where there was clear intent to swat at another drivers car in order to keep a position.

I think he didn't intend to touch him, but he was careless and did deserve a penalty, and as you say maybe a worse one than he got. I think it could have happened to anybody if they were trying too hard like that. Got some oversteer and had to let go. Maybe if it were a better car it wouldn't have got the oversteer. In hindsight he should have given the place up, now knowing it wouldn't work and a penalty that made it worse than giving the place up. At the end of the day they are all there to race and not to give away places.

After looking at the replay a few times, not only did he NOT give the Hulk enough room, but the tap felt intentional IMO. The stewards penalized him for it as after all how can anyone prove intent in that case, but intent or not, it's par for the course for the guy.

He might have to physically hurt somebody to get censured, mind you even after nearly killing a steward on track a few years ago and getting a ban, it was decided that someone with so much money cannot be a danger

And this is always Maldonado's defence. But he is using it too much. If he doesn't mean to do these things, and they keep happening, then he obviously doesn't know how to handle an F1 car and should lose his seat at Williams.

Thats another thing. How long will Frank put up with it? Surely his money only goes so far. With the amount of potential points, and ultimately team prize money, he has lost due to his carelessness, he must be in negative equity by now.....?

I disagree with the comments that his recent incidents "could have happened to anyone" as an explanation, they've happened to Maldonaldo more than a fair amount of times now. There ought to be a cumulative punishment, unfortunately in F1 there's a clear separation between the stewards at an event, and the FIA themselves who regulate the sport as a whole.

This.

Totally agree mate, and it really puts me off him. :irked:

I don't think the drive through was harsh for Maldo....maybe a swift kick in the face after every race might be more justified for this 'driver'.
