Jackie Steward recommended Paul join Ferrari as Alonso's understudy, I think it's a little unfair to call Di Rista unspectacular he's spent his f1 career driving a Force India.

By unspectacular I meant more in his character as well as unspectacular just as much in the sense of no high-profile errors or on-track vagaries (i.e. no spectacular crashes or tangling with other drivers).

Based on the interviews I've read and his performances so far he seems very determined and confident but also very composed and disciplined. I don't see him as being an entertaining, unpredictable hotshot on and off the field but I think he can deliver over the long haul and do a good job in any team, including Ferrari.

Another David Coulthard perhaps? Solid driver with very good pace and racing skill, all round driver but no 'x factor' to be called an all time great.

I think Lewis might be Ferrari bound. Too many compliments and helmet exchanges going on between Hamilton and Alonso this season.

I'm nearly thinking all RB, Mclaren and Ferrari drivers will stay the same for 2013.

And Mercedes and Lotus too, imo...

If Massa performs like he did at Silverstone for the rest of the season I think you would be correct. If he doesn't, the only 2 drivers that I feel could do a decent job at Ferrari with Alonso are Perez and Di Resta. Although I'm not convinced they are quite ready yet, when you have a number 1 driver like Alonso, it isn't as much of a risk to sign a younger number 2 as there is slightly less pressure (like when Massa joined Schumacher in 06)

Whilst I think there are always drivers on Ferrari's watch list, and I think Grosjean is definitely on that list, the driver on the top of the list is Vettel.

I think Ferrari have added Grosjean to their watch list.

Ferrari have half the grid on their watch list; this is the tradition at Maranello I hear about Ferrari being interested in driver A, B and C several times every season; I'd bet that Massa will have his contract extended if he renaissance continues.

It's called marketing. They market the race team as "the team every driver aspires for" by name dropping like nobodies business....in reality all the top teams are looking down for the next best deal in town, just more quietly.

Yet again, I can't see there being a great deal of movement at the sharp end.

To be fair, most of the talk comes from the drivers and their managers themselves. Always helps when negotiating to keep telling the other party there is someone else interested.

Yet again, I can't see there being a great deal of movement at the sharp end.

There will never be movement to match the speculation, that would require musical chairs for driver negotiations to be written into the Concorde  - come to think of it, Bernie might like that.

I assume it will possibly be the same as this year basically, the only changes I see happening are

Mercedes GP = Rosberg and Di Resta
Toro Rosso Ferarri = Riccardo and maybe Buemi
Force India Mercedes = Nico Hülkenberg and Jules Bianchi
Hispania Cosworth = Pedro de la Rosa and Luiz Razia
