The popcorn suggests you want a bit more than just a place and date
so... Goodwood '09, in the driver bit there. He was sat completely by himself so me and a mate decided to say hello as he didn't appear busy. He's such a miserable git, i couldn't quite believe it. He seemed to make out that Lord March had basically nagged at him to go for years, so he'd just turned up as a favour and to get him off his back about it or something. Proper WTF. He just didn't appear to care about anything that was going on, at such a great event like Goodwood and given his history in motorsport. Didn't seem to want to talk about any of the cars he liked there or anything. He was just weird mate...
And then compare to guys like (excuse the namedropping!
) Timo Glock and Karun Chandhok, who were just brilliant, had great chats with them. We were taking the piss out of Chandhok cause he was getting into this VW Passat that apparently was a company car and he took it quite brilliantly... top lad.
So these instances just made me think, man what the hell was Irvine's deal? Then you add in (for example) some of the stuff he said at Monza last year on tv, just makes me think actually the guy is a bit of a bellend
Having met him, yeah, Irvine is a proper sausageface. Would actively avoid him if i ever saw him in the flesh again.
When did you meet Irvine?

Rising number one of Formula 1, Juan - Juan, one wonders should Juan only win one Formula 1 one year, would Juan have won that one in round one, Juan??

about how men were men back in his frigging day. Moan, moan, moan let's mourn the times gone by when it was ME racing, because now it's not ME racing, nothing is as good. The Irvine era was the BEST era, and the ONLY era to watch F1, because HE was racing. He's been this bitter ever since his career petered out after 2002, and he hasn't shut the f!ck up since. W!nker.
