Hamilton was lucky to get 4...if Maldanado had his brain turned on, I bet himself and Perez would've owned that McLaren.

Thats true, but Maldonad's brain defaults to 'off' fairly regularly. I guess lewis was lucky to have not ended up near him on the track.

Are you kidding? They were wheel to wheel for half a lap on lap 1, my BP was racing during that point! :hehe:

I know, that was hell! But then they managed to get apart and Perez got the brain fade.

Button is a complete waste of space

He is not even able to help his teammate when they are on different strategies

If it had been ferrari or red bull then jenson would have let lewis by instantly then done his hardest to delay the faster Grosjean. Despite a radio message to 'not worry about lewis' special needs had to look after his ego by 'racing' lewis for a lap

truly truly pathetic

Well...have you counted the number of times Lewis has overtaken him on track since they became teammates? Because I lost count, and I think Jenson might have as well. This might be weighing on his mind a bit.

Plus the 9-0 record now in Lewis' favour, Button had to show his Brit fans he still has enough talent and fire to make life a bit harder for Lewis to convince himself that he deserves an F1 seat, nevermind a McLaren one.

Jenson and Whitmarshs McLaren are a perfect fit

Jenson was happy after the race - he scored a point, its just that the car was slow, points fingers at the team

Whitmarsh says he is not worried about McLarens slump as worrying wont make the car faster, there is no magic, he says, just got to all work harder as a team and hope its enough.

That is perfectly in line with a BAR or Honda or HRT. They do the best they can and hope its enough, year in year out hoping that luck happens

Without Lewis McLaren would be only above HRT Caterham and Marussia in the table and would still be saying lets hope our next upgrades push us forward

Yep it's a broken record now after every sh*t performance. Especially his favourite line "you learn more in bad weekends than you do in good ones"...yeah you can be the most knowledgeable loser in F1 if it makes you feel better Martin.

Damon Hill said that it seems everyone else knows a secret but havent told McLaren, ouch!

the drivers say the car needs serious updates to give them a chamnce for the Wc (yes, both drivers)

Whitmarsh and Sam? 'no need to worry' these things happen. Sam actually said we will go away and definitely be better in Germany. But Sam, so will the other teams, its called a development race mate, like you assured us Red Bull were only fast at Valencia, did you forget that they would continue to develop for Silverstone

The usual losers should pipe up any minute now, jumping to the defence of the hapless Whitmarsh and his 'disturbingly good looking' sidekicks.

We will be told that McLaren were this bad with Ron, that its not whitmarshs responsibility but the engineers, its just a bad run, every team has one. Sam the next McLaren boss is brilliant because after 9 races the pitstops are the fastest. We will be told its just a witch hunt and paranoia to think McLaren have fundamental issues preventing them competing at the front.

Was anyone else a little miffed at Jenson's lack of 'team play' in the race when Lewis came up behind him on fresh tyres while Jenson was still on old?

RC, you make it sound like Jenson held Lewis up for laps? From what I saw on TV; it was maybe five or six corners, then Jenson blended his throttle to let Lewis pass on the straight!

Does it make all you Lewis Hamilton fans feel better bitching at Jenson when Lewis didn't do any better? Jenson started sixteenth and finished tenth; Lewis started eighth and finished eighth; but of course that was Jenson Button's fault wasn't it? Jenson slowed Lewis down so much that Lewis lost the place to Schumacher! McLaren were straight up too slow; McLaren started the season clear fastest car but have dropped back ever since; McLaren have dropped behind, Ferrari, Lotus and even Sauber! Jenson put in a decent performance give the lack of pace inn the McLaren!

As a matter of fact Lewis did do better even if he did finish in 8th,he score more points and yet again out qualified his teammate and finished in front of him, that's a fact.

As for Jenson letting him past,i don't think Jenson could of stopped him even if he wanted to.

Your boy got lucky,he was in for no points until Hulk duck up.

"Jenson put in a good performance" don't make me laugh,he was s*** all weekend.

Your showing your desperation to make Jenson look good because Lewis didn't own his bottom as much as he usually does, fact is he still owned his bottom by scoring more points and finishing in front of him.

Argue that if you can..
