Alonso had a faster time in the last sector than three cars above him in Q2, so he ignored yellow flags and should start from the back.

Correct...just saw this myself. Hope McLaren doesn't let this one go.

It'll be interesting to see how this one plays out...

Is Hamilton allowed to touch other cars? :D

It depends where.

How much faster was it reletive to his previous times and the rest of his lap? That's what they'll look at more than his time compared to other cars.

Mmm so you're saying it's possible for Alonso to beat his team mates sector time while under yellow

Given the improving track conditions at the time is is quite feasible. The stewards will have a wealth of information available (a lot more than us lot) so they'll know very quickly and easily if his lap time is legit' or not. It should be a pretty straight forward thing for them to establish.

So we know alonso rightly or wrongly wont get punished because of whos in charge of the fia

Lewis is faster on full wets but nethier mclaren driver can get a good time out of the inters, bad times for the race becuase they never seem to be racing on full wets these days, theyl just put a safety car out until its inters again :(

So it could be sebs to loose, or can MSC pull one of his wet weather drives out the bag? who knows, i might get angry at it tommorow when were on the 30th lap behind the safety car, but il still watch it and love it!

The FIA gets Massa spinning just to give the Mclareners something to hope for... then they send Maldonado to sour them up. :D:wavey::drink:

I prefer dry races... but such is life. Let's just hope at least the podium isnt majorly affected by one of those funky flag/SC periods.

The telling thing is that we all expect nothing to happen about that. It would be as surprising as sunshine for tomorrow's race.

Apparently Alonso did not have green sector time on the last sector, and since the track was drying up, normally it he would have got green sector time here as well.

But it does not say anything about how much slower that last sector was compared to his previous lap. Does anyone have the sector times for Alonsos last laps?

Fantastic drive from the 4 top guys, can potentially become a great race tomorrow.

Don't know about Alonso's times except he improved by .5 sec overall but on Maldonado's lap DC said his first 2 sectors pretty much matched his previous but he improved on his total laptime by .4 sec
