As the rain lashes down in Biblical proportions and we are all washed away into the Grandstands at Silverstone this weekend, who is your 1,2,3 for Sunday. Can Jenson or Schumi paddle their way to the podium like in ye olden days. Can Lewis replay 2008 or will it finally be Sebastien to banish that helmet to the Display cabinet. They cant however let Fernando win again or surely he will stake his claim to yet another title as the bumblers do their fumbling.

My thoughts

Who do you think

Pole Position Sebastien

Who is your 1,2,3 (any order) Fernando, Roman, Pastor Maldanado (dont let the M word distract you)

Safety Car Definatley

Outside podium prediction Schumi

Who do you want

Pole Position Jenson

Who is your 1,2,3 (any order) Jenson, Lewis, Schumi

Have fun

Lewis Alonso Vettel. But with the predicted rain and the scope for cockups and surprises who knows.I think it will be eventful.

Who knows, there's the usual suspects but they're not a safe bet and there's a few drivers who could stll become the 8th different winner and a few others who could throw in some surprises and that's before trying to take into account the weather mixing things up.

Maldonado to become the only other driver to have 2 wins sharing the podium with Massa and Kimi.

Depends just how wet. We already saw that the Ferrari and Sauber are good in damp/wet conditions though.

Lewis Hamilton :"We have got to start bringing all the small bits, the details and everything. I have been in the factory and I am reassured that we have things, they have been tested and been in the simulator. So it is a question of pushing to get those things and hoping that they deliver what they are saying."

New things coming for Mclaren , hopefully its work good.

Actually there's a news item reporting that they have changed the jack. Hope this isn't actually an 'upgrade' for the GP:

Sam Michael said a new jack is ready for this weekend's British Grand Prix.

"We identified why that failed and the design has been modified for Silverstone," he added. "On Monday this week, we completed 800 pit stops on the jacking systems with no faults at all with the new design. During a race weekend, we would probably do about 50 pit stops, including all of the practices, so effectively we've done 16 grand prix weekends on Monday. We believe that we have solved it, but at least we have done good due diligence on the new design for Silverstone. If we go there and have a fault we can go back and say that we have done as much as we could, which is what we do in engineering."
