So Jenson now reckons he has 'solved' his problems and is back on form, and he will show us at Silverstone. So from the horses mouth, no more excuses about the car, He was just unlucky in Valencia to finish 8th as he was boxed in at the start. Otherwise he would have had a podium he reckons!!!

So will be interesting to see what his new excuse will be when he qualifies outside the top 10 before his home crowd. Actually I have an idea what his excuse will be already

Well with the new Head & Shoulders bottle design there shouldn't be any excuses.

This one's still my favourite...maybe he could play this back if it rains again in Silverstone:

If there was more light, we could've seen him tearing up a bit probably.

The car has been very different today/this session/this race and I dont get it

It was great before then the dastardly duo balance and grip conspired to go missing just when I had to pull out the fast lap
I just cant work it out even after 12 years, why do balance and grip betray me when it really counts, and they dont betray Lewis, Seb and most of the grid the same way

Anyway it was just a one off, one of those days and the team will order balance and grip to stick around and we will have fun next time

Jenson has recovered from his recent humbling and is back to giving the British press the old 'golden boy' Number One Brit, team leader routine

from the Guardian;

"If I win at Silverstone, I will get really emotional," the McLaren driver said.

Alonso, who is 62 points ahead of Button in the championship, was recently described by Hamilton as "probably the best driver out there", and most neutrals would go along with that. Button says: "There's been a lot of arse-kissing going on lately. I don't know what's happening. It's quite strange.

"But Fernando is one of the stand-out drivers. When you race against him, and beat him, it feels special. I respect him a lot because he is not just very quick. He is a clever driver, so that is why he is dangerous.

"His talents are more in the race than in qualifying. And he surrounds himself with the right people in the team. You look at the last race and say Fernando did a great job to win."

So Jenson is now confident about his ability to beat Alonso, who is clever like Button, good in the race instead of just fast like Lewis, got the right bubble around him like Jenson.

Lets see what he says after Q3 or after the race

Sounds to me like jenson is trying to talk up the talents he perceives he shares with Alonso, over the talents his team mate possesses. Well we'll see.

The more he talks, the more stupid he looks after yet more pathetic upcoming results. Keep it up Jens!

Yup, Button showing his true colours

The same guy who;
allegedly dumped his pregnant Gf as soon as he got into F1
parked his yacht at monaco before any on track success
stiched up the guy who gave him a break, Sir Frank
grabbed the fat paycheck from the richest team and stagnated, and now says he spent years looking for the 'right car and team to win a WC'
tried to cheat his teammate out of a win
put the boot in when his teammate was having emotional issues
has hijacked and reduced to mediocrity McLaren

A useless, deceitful, lazy wannabe playboy who only drives well when contract talks are in the air

You keep the attitude coming Jense, the more you tell us before the race the more we will tell after the race, and wait till the British press give up on you and your guileless and gutless boss/sugar daddy
