I don't mean to be pompous, I'm merely trying to convey the fact I'm not forcing things on anybody, and that my words absolutely do not suggest that I am doing so. I never have done, do, or will do. Everybody's entitled to look at the facts and come up with their opinion. I'm only giving my views on a discussion forum. Others can do the same.

You say you see you read words for their true meaning, well, if you read my words with their true meaning we would not be having this discussion. I say again, 'I think' is exactly that: what I think; nothing more, nothing less. It's got nothing to do with personal insight.

I agree with M.F on this pne tex, but I will happily buy you a pint if we meet sometime.

sometimes things do get out of hand I think but, hey, we are passionate people and we get excited about our sport, and maybe sometimes a bit out of order - but nobody means it - do they?

Perhaps we should all get together and have a group hug ---- well maybe not, but I'l buy you a pint also Bud. - OK?

From autosport.com:

Suzuki holds crunch talks on team future

By Jonathan Noble Thursday, February 21st 2008, 11:25 GMT

Aguri Suzuki has flown to Japan for talks with senior Honda executives as he bids to secure the future of his Formula One team, autosport.com has learned.

Super Aguri have faced a difficult winter, with financial problems forcing them to curtail their testing programme. The team were forced to pull out of this week's Barcelona test at the last minute because of their current situation.

The team's continued absence from testing has prompted speculation that they may not make it to the season-opener in Australia, and it is understood that the talks taking place in Tokyo over the next 24 hours are now key to deciding their future.

Sources have revealed that between three and four investment deals are on the table for Suzuki to consider - ranging from a takeover of equity to more straightforward team sponsorship.

Aguri is believed to be weighing up the options but needs to finalise how much support he can rely on from Honda, who have helped fund the team since they entered F1 in 2006.

Honda chiefs are believed to be keen for Super Aguri to become a self-funding enterprise, especially as in the next few years the team will have to begin becoming an outright constructor.

The team are currently awaiting news from Japan about what Suzuki's plans for the future are, with personnel on standby to head to Barcelona to resume testing next week.

Honda won't be happy about this, but Super Aguri are basically their testing team (they said it themselves) so may keep them ticking over.

If they have any sense, they'll buy them to run as a B-Team. McLaren will likely have one next year, Red Bull have one, why not Honda? It's basically what SA are anyway.

And it's not without precedent for a midfield team with money to buy a backmarker, keeping their staff in jobs and ensuring a bigger entry list and themselves a B-Team, the aforementioned Red Bull did just that with Minardi/Torro Rosso

Small teams are almost a necessity, and I don't find it terrible the way they come up witht he money to fund their operations... without them F1 would either have a 6 car grid, or a V8 supercar- type lineup.

With the introduction of the budget cap, things can get interesting further back inot the grid. This would end up being boring and pointless with the current point system; so I assume (expect) there could be some sort of modifications.

if it weren't for smaller teams: no one would have driven out of the pits with a fuelling hose, Takuma wouldn't have taken Alonso in Canada, there would be no funny positions in wet races and Honda wouldn't have to try to improve in 08 :)

To be fair, Super Aguri are a B-team and have always been so. Although Honda don't own Super Aguri outright, they pump a lot of money in, expect Super Aguri to test parts, and seem to have a Godfather-like presence in the company's dealings. Only a few weeks ago Honda were saying they wanted Super Aguri to retain the services of Anthony Davidson to give them good feedback in testing.
