Yes. Taking booze in isnt a problem, so a box of wine will be ok. Unless they spring a new rule at the gates.
Ah trousers/pants I see. :hehe:

only luggage going in the track will be food, booze, gadgets, money, suncream..ok maybe trousers in case it goes cold....and i guess waterproof......... ok a bit of luggge going in :P

Suncream! I thought Silverstone was in England?

I could never enjoy a GP drinking alchohol,
it always brings me down,
a strong ice coffee is the way to go :)

You just need to drink to a limit where you're happily light headed....and stop there, before starting to remember your ex girlfriends, all the money you've lost in life, and how much life sucks ballz. :hehe::hehe:

Wiser words are rarely spoken!!!!

It's hard to find the pleasant gap between happily lightheaded and remembering how sh1tty life is where you just start yelling " :censored: it all I'm watching F1!!" But now that I typed that out I realized that it continues into " :censored: it all I'm watching F1, let's drink more!!" Then comes the sh1tty life part, thus making the gap I just mentioned obsolete. :P

PARTAS I dont drink Sunday. Just friday night , Saturday lunch and sat night :P:P

SPANKY Ive got a super tan at Silverstone before, both in the stands (not Becketts they've put a lid on it and the cold wind whistles through)and on the campsite. Ive also frozen and got drenched. Yes this is England. So along with the suncream and bikini will be waterproof, boots, hoodies, padded jacket and trackie bottoms :P

Do they charge exorbitant prices for food and drinks at the GP? I fully and completely expect to be scalped hairless if I go to the US GP in november

Yeah, I'm surprised you're able to take food and drinks into the circuit itself.

At the Msian GP, they stop you if you bring bottles of WATER, confiscate all the food/drinks you have and force you to buy the sh*t they serve at the circuit for 10x the price.

Which is why I only went once paying for a hill stand, and second time for a complimentary grandstand seat, and then never again.

The food isnt bad and there's a lot of variety (I just like what I take more). Never bought alcohol in the track. Coffee is expensive and stewed usually . Food was very poor at Istanbul when I went there, no outside caterers like there are at Silverstone just a very small range the same everywhere. So I guess it depends how the US decide to do it.
#309749
I'm guessing the US is gonna do it like hammer described at malaysia. Confiscate our stuff cuz they think we're all terrorists gonna sabotage the GP

As if F1 isn't about money as it is, combine that with the greediest @$$holes in the world hosting the thing (i.e. the U.S.)... :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Istanbul were very security concious and wouldnt let bottles of water go in they searched you everytime you re-entered a grandstand and there was a high army presence.
At Silverstone its only the glass bottles, and that was only last year on race day, we took champagne in for quali, maybe we just got lucky and werent searched that day. I think re-food, because its all outside caterers the track dont mind what you take in . You see people wheeling those trolleys full of bear cans and loads of people take cool boxes of goodies.

I think in the US we're told that it's because of the war on terror but the reality is that they want to sell you $4.50 bottle of water and a $8.50 cheeseburger $12.00 if you want fries with that.

In Canada there were no questions asked of anyone, I brought beer, snacks a sandwich and I'm sure I would have been allowed to bring a BBQ grill if I had the mind to. :hehe:

That's not too bad, at Spa it was 1 euro extra if you wanted a squirt of ketchup or mayo on your 4 euro fries and 4.50 euro for a 250ml bottle of cola, wasps came free with the waffles. No war on terror though and you could take your own stuff in with you.

Nice!!

$12.00 for a burger and fries sounds generous, I was gonna guess closer to $15!!!

Not to mention beer prices. When I was at ozzfest a couple years ago it was $12 for a 12 oz budweiser :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Why would you want to buy a Budweiser in the first place??? :yikes::vomit::vomit:

Cuz that was the cheapest one  for the record, I absolutely refused to pay such a ridiculous price and stuck to free water :D
