Which chassis do you guys think will do well here??

One that hasnt got JB in it...

And seriously, if mclarens updates here dont make them more competetive here, the season is over for them WDC and WCC wise

Do you think McLaren even deserve the WCC? Not that they can get it anyway, with 1 driver performing like he's drugged but their mistakes this season are more than Caterham.

I was watching Ferraris pitstops again in Valencia, it's insane. Hamilton's first pitstop was trouble free, but still very slow in comparison to ANY of Ferraris pitstops...I don't understand why they're unable to match them in this area.

Still very slow?? They did a sub- 3 second stop! (not sure if it was Hmiltons or Buttons). They just need consistency....

The McLaren didnt have the pace to put in fast times though in Valencia if they had pitted Lewis he wouldnt of recovered places. He was already on the back foot thanks to the jack failing at 2nd stop.
No i think they probably dont deserve it, like you say ferrari have got pitstops down to a t, mclaren top brass must be pulling there hair out every race, let alone lewis and jenson.

*edit and its not just the pitstops, the teams strategy calls have been shocking all season too (bar canada), i was screaming at my tv to bring lewis in and put a set of softs on when he said they were going with 14 laps to go in valencia, i woulda thought they would have done it as he showed in cananda you can make up the time you loose just with the benifits of new rubber :(

What compounds are Pirelli taking here?

Rubbery ones.

BAM!!!! :whip::whip:

Pirelli are bringing the rubbers. :hehe:

It won't be until nearer the race until Pirelli reveal all.

I think Inters and full wets will be the only ones that matter :eek:

No, no, no, no, no. I shall not have that. Its going to be sunny from the Wednesday to Monday. Ive told it.

The race is in July. Of course it'll rain at some point, and it'll be cold and windy. Ahh summertime. :cloud9:

Mind, the ways it's been raining in Englandshire they'd be better off with 24 rowing boats!

Finally a normal track hehe Red bull, Mercedes and Renault could be the cars to beat; but if it rains ferrari and mclaren can work it out..... Silverstone is tough on wheels, so heh could be a funky cool final 10 laps

Do you boys and girls realize that the last time McLaren won a WCC was in 1998 with Mikka Hakkinen?

:yikes::yikes::banghead::banghead:

Wow 14 years....

Yes, a depressing observation. Thanks for reminding us WB! :shock:

I'm not going to see it :( i want to set it up in a way so everyone can see why i want to go and why i don't want to go.

Pros: You can feel the rush while the drivers race just by!
A good mood all around you!

Cons: You can't seem to have "eagle eyes".
Expensive..

Can some of you please tell my why i should go? and please tell me some more pros and cons? The reason for all of this is that i never have been to a race before, always watched them at home. :)

There's usually screens in some places around the track that lets you watch the action if the cars are not in your view. It is a great experience, and you get a great rush from the cars. You get to see the drivers on the driver parade before the race. You can also buy some merchandise for some teams.

It is expensive, but it is a very good experience, especially when you cheer every Brit that drives past you :clap: .

Because the atmosphere the whole weekend is just amazing! You can see on screens and listen on your radio to the silverstone broadcast. Toilet queues at Becketts not great. Everything else great. Post race party a MUST! Lots of the drivers interviewed on stage. party atmosphere. fair, pubs, disco's and BBQ's. The sound, the smell. Bring it on!! Ive been going for about 15yrs.

If you're going this year mate, you go and enjoy yourself and get horribly drunk :drink: . Hope a Brit wins, no matter which one. :thumbup:

I want to go to next years Sliverstone race, just can't risk going on my bad back at the moment. It sounds electrifying. Been a few years ago, but I was under age so I couldn't get drunk 8-).

From what we saw at Valencia, Red Bull is a fair way ahead of the field in performance. Ferrari might just be edging McLaren for 2nd.

Teams with "coanda" reliant exhausts may well struggle a little more here as the plume will definitely be higher at the high speed curves (Copse Maggots Becketts). I wonder if any teams will change their exhausts to blow the beam?

****** edit "blow the beam" :hehe: if ever I left a leading line for our Forum queen there it is.
