The Formula 1 .com website is running a poll on which team is most likely to score a podium in 2008 out of Super Aguri, Torro Rosso & Force India.
STR is the run away leader but Force India is running 2nd!! Do you go along with that?

I think it unlikely that any of these will score a podium this year but, of the three, I agree that STR the most likely but I put S.A. very close to them, I have FI as a no chancer for this year.

I cannot see any of them getting on the podium, although I think Torro Rosso have the potential to improve slightly. Force India may improve slightly from their Spyker days, but they'll still be at least three quarters of the way down the grid. Super Aguri don't have a lot spondulicks, so I don't see them doing anything at all.

Same car as last year.

Auto Blogg-

Well that didn't take long. After only two years on the grid, Super Aguri is up for sale. Unlike most of the other "new" teams that took over and rebranded themselves from previous teams, Super Aguri actually put up the bond to join the 2006 Formula One championship as an additional entry. Since then, however, the team has had difficulty putting together the enormous budget required of a modern F1 team, falling into debt to the tune of $47 million, despite getting support from Honda and running old cars.

Now, following the emergence of Force India and the confirmation of an Indian Grand Prix in two years, another Indian business consortium is looking at buying its way into the sport. The Spice Group telecommunications company, which already sponsors Indian former F1 driver Narain Karthikeyan's Team India A1GP car, is reported to be negotiating to acquire Super Aguri. Tata, which is inching closer to its acquisition of Land Rover and Jaguar (which itself once had its own F1 team), is reported to be possibly supporting the bid. The price: $1, plus the coverage of the team's debts. The deal hasn't been finalized, but would involve bringing Karthikeyan back to the grid, and leaving Aguri Suzuki in charge. Spice confirms that it is talking with Aguri and a second team. In related news, Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz has reiterated that Scuderia Toro Rosso is not for sale.

Super Aguri HQ is about 2 miles from my house, I would of given them a dollar for it.... shame about the debts having to be covered as well :-(

Team Land Rover could be interesting

Hmmm... a possible venture into 4-wheel drive? Wouldn't be the first time as Colin Chapman tried experimenting with 4-wheel drive amongst other things in 1971. :)

STR will be most likely to get a podium, although I think it'll be a bizzare race if they can get up there.

Could be quite handy if Team Land Rover used some of these drivers (no names here) who regularly wander off the track onto the countryside, 4 wheel drive and knobbly tyres would be good to get back on track, especially if its raining and muddy!!! :D:oops:

Well you say that but who expected Vettel to get a 4th place for STR in only his 3rd or 4th grand prix? And China wasen't really a 'bizzre' race was it. I believe its do-able for STR. 'Farce' Indy don't stand a chance IMO.

India has been solving the worlds technical support problems for years, perhaps they have all the answers for a winning race team.

Maybe so but man is it frustrating when I need DELL's support and get a call center in India.

And some of them can't speak a word of english and get grumpy when you ask them to repeat stuff.

Oh, don't get me started on those Indian call centers! Sometimes I hang up and dial again hoping for some different person at a different (i.e., local) call center - and it works sometimes :)
