Having just uploaded a new poll to the frontpage of Forumula1.com, with the question 'Who will be Drivers' World Champion in 2008?' - I couldn't help thinking, a whole raft of drivers could be in line for the title this season. Roll on March I say. :D

Well, first let's have the Super Bowl, alright? I need my yearly dose of young men in tights with tight arses duking it out while during the half-time show several people might fall victim to a wardrobe malfunction of some sort and the whole country will be in uproar.
After that I'll be ready to start moaning about how much longer until the Aussie GP...

I would say Ferrari will win easy this year. A close dog fight between Kimi and Massa but Kimi is the better driver and will win. McLaren? I will say they will do what Ferrari did in 1991 after almost winning in 1990. That is not come even close. And then we shall finally have full revenge. :D

I think this season will be very close, not just in terms of those competing for wins, but the midfield battle will be intense as well. Personally, I'm really looking forward to this season.

2008 will be a fight between the 4 drivers of Mclaren & Ferrari and if Renault can deliver a car Alonso will be in the mix. I am drooling in anticipation :D

Ferrari v McL will be the main fight. It will be interesting to see how McL deal with the small garage scenario. However, I think it likely that others will be closer this year than for a few years - BMW in particular. I am not convinced yet that Renault will be a serious challenger, RB will be stronger I think, and surprises may come from Super Aguri, Honda & Williams - those are the three most likely to improve over last year I think. That leaves Toyota, Force India, Torro Rosso, but I think that each group will be closly fought - more so than last year.

Renault don't have the cash; the other teams will bleed them dry. This is only my personal view, but I think people overestimate the size of Renault as a team. In their title winning years, they were punching well above their weight.

I hope to see more than 2 teams fighting for victories, but I also fear possibility that one team (whichever) will be above others and make another dull, cold shower year after exciting 2007.

For now, my hopes are stronger than my fears.

Ummm... full revenge - for what? For winning both titles in 2007 (one deserved, one served on the golden plate)? 8)

yeah i agree, they did so very well compared to the teams budgets they were beating, so it worries me for the future with toyota, honda spending more than them, bring on the budget cap!

I don't know why but I am not as excited about this new season as I should be. But, its still not for another month so I'm bound to get excited in the next few months.
