When the pressure is on for a single flying lap in Q3 is when the big bucks are earned. Lets see if 'special needs' can pull out the lap when it counts, as we know there is no pressure in FP1,2 or 3.

The good thing is that if he qualifies 10th or so there will be no excuse to hide behind

So Lewis Hamilton's car set up seems to work, must have been a tough but welcomed exercise for Jenson to go through. He's been heralded as the master of communicating with his engineering team and providing feedback on car development.

I'm glad to have him back in competitive form though, the grid is tighter than it's been in years!

I still beleive firmly that nothing has really been amis with Button. His natural place in the quali pecking order now the cars are close is 9th - 13th

His setup problems have been all about a refusal to admit this and try radical gambles to move up the grid

Simply there are at least 10 drivers quicker than 'special needs' over a lap, If Ferrari had been on it this weekend he would be 11th.

Damn!! Baby actually had me worried for a while there, outqualifying Lewis in Q1 and Q2....suckling on Hamiltons nipples for 2 weeks seemed to have helped after all!

Maybe Hamilton should ask the engineers to give half the effort they gave Button for tonight, he'd probably lap the field! :hehe::hehe:

"We"? Which car are you in?

Front locking issues it seems but the pace is there.

Lol...Mr Double Standard strikes again, and this is a guy who admitted multiple times he dislikes Button. What's your deal mate? Did Hamilton steal cookies off you in primary school and slap you around silly?

Of course he likes Button, saying he doesn't is just a smoke screen to give credibility to him not liking Lewis, wants people to think he is fare and not bias lol.

Can't this thread go one freaking day without some sort of childish exchange in it? Getting very sick of these stupid posts. :director:

Jenson Button (9th, Q3 - 1m 38.801s)
“The team worked really hard overnight to improve the issues we’d had with front [wheel] locking during Friday practice - and, this morning, I felt we’d improved the car a lot, which was really encouraging. Somehow, however, my car felt very different on fresh rubber at the end of Q3 than it had felt all day up to then. On my final run in Q3, the balance felt very different - I had too much understeer - and, every time I touched the brakes, I locked the fronts. I don’t know whether the circuit had changed, but I just couldn’t stop locking my fronts. So it’s disappointing to be starting ninth, especially as previous races have demonstrated that it’s difficult to overtake around here. The key, then, will be to make the right calls on strategy.”

I'm starting to wonder if Jenson is being plagued by mischievous tire fairies who seem to be changing his settings minute by minute. :hehe:
