I just sees lots of bashing, which goes against the OP. That's all.

Thats just the way the cookie crumbles. You cant stop people having and expressing their views so long as they do so civilly. Its a debate forum after all. A lot of people delight in bashing Hamilton. Alonso and Schumacher have had a fair share too. And even Vettel during his most excessive finger use and excursions into salad vegetables.

Granted but it is getting kind of stuck in a rut with no grip. If a grip was gotten the thread could move past the rut.

I had no grip

That's why I support love handles.

I sit here in the knowledge that Jenson will come back fighting after his recent poor results! /me hopes

I sit here and hope he does pull his finger out,we need him to try and take points off Alonso and Vettel if Lewis really wants to pull a bigger gap at the top.I sit here and also hope he pulls his other finger out so we can take over RedBull in the WCC.

See,it's not all hate and bashing,a number 2 driver should be their to help out his faster, better and more consistent teammate.

I really hope i don't have to come back to this thread after quali and say "i got no grip" or "kovi is not moving out of the way,i can't get passed him fair and square so i might just crash into him again"

Someone(not you)in this thread claims to dislike Button but sure sticks up for him at every opportunity, lol

As i said earlier in this thread "clowns are their to be laughed at not have a conversation with"

Well Im not a Jenson Button fan, and have probably moved from ambivalent to not keen over the last 18mths. But I dont like to see drivers mercilessly attacked. What goes around comes around as we are seeing now, its well to remember how fickle F1 is. Iv'e said it before, much of the gloating over Jenson's current demise comes I believe because of his over hyping by team and press last year, not Jensons fault, you cant blame him for basking in the praise and using all his available arsenal to his advantage. But he was to a certain extent complicit, slipped easily into the 'I'm numer one driver' role and on more than one occassion was dismisive and insensitive to lewis with his remarks. With the roles reversed Lewis has remained silent on the issue, all Ive heard him say when pressed is ' Jenson isnt out of it, he can bounce back, all it takes is one win and he's right back up there'.
My mum used to have a saying that she used on people who were getting a bit too big for their boots. She used it on us kids and on famous people and it was this "PRIDE COMES BEFORE A FALL" She'd have used it on Jenson last year.

Don't worry about that guy, he's more confused than Button when it comes to who to support on the grid. :hehe:

Anyway, it's official....Button has a MASTERPLAN:

Button to copy Hamilton's set-up

Jenson Button will use Lewis Hamilton's set-up to begin his European Grand Prix weekend in order to start from a solid baseline.

Having struggled badly in recent races, Button is more hopeful ahead of Valencia after McLaren revealed it had found some "very subtle" differences between its two cars. Button admitted that he would start the weekend with Hamilton's set-up after his team-mate won in Canada, and then work to tune it to his own driving style.

"I guess the first thing you do is set up the car like the other car, and that's what we'll do initially," Button is quoted by Sporting Life. "There will be settings that Lewis prefers more than anybody else does because that's how he sets it up. I won't be as quick as him on those settings, but then we can work from there and find a set-up that works for me."

Button added that his confidence wasn't dented in the knowledge that both he and McLaren have been successful together before.

"I've won a race this year, won many races before and that's where I feel I should be. You do have bad races, so it becomes about pulling together and working out the reasons, and we will. We will understand because this is a great team which has won many races and world championships, and we've won many great races together, so we will work out what the issue is. I will solve the issues - or we will solve the issues together."

Copying the setup not always work fine as i believe , each driver have his own way to drive the car even if he tried to make it his own setup, so i think this week will be another hard week for Jenson (Hopefully I'm wrong).

He wants to use it as a baseline to work from not run it the whole weekend. I thought he would've tried this already tbh.

You wait till his press and BBc buddies turn on him if he continues like this

They have been silent so far but you can sense those knives being sharpened

Your Brundles etc will not be happy with the stain on their reputations for the eulogising of Button, already Whitmarsh is saying less in public leaving it to Michael to defend Jenson, all those talking heads that were so eager to voice their opinions last year on Lewis 'demise' are conspicuous by their silence

As soon as it obvious that Button is a dead duck the night of the long knives will be at hand, and no one is better at destroying their own former wet dreams than the British press

It will make the criticism on here look like gentle encouragement

The Press created their star and are preparing to bury the poor chap

Silverstone will be the bonfire of the vanities

What have we here???? I dont like the sound of this!! (Article in Autosport by Johnathan Noble)
Mclaren have ruled out Buttons driving style as causing the problem
They've ruled out any car developments as causeing the problem.
They believe his set-up has gone in the wrong direction.
They want to get them on the same set-up path.
Paddy Lowe says "Valencia will be about taking the best set-up from both sides, and running a much more converged set-up on both drivers in the direction we believe to be better."

Why ffs!!! Lewis has just won with his set-up Jenson has cone 16th.WHY ARE YOU GOING TO sausage AROUND WITH LEWIS' SET UP!!! :banghead::banghead:

"Valencia will be about taking the best set-up from both sides,

hahahaha

the best setup from both sides? what would be the best thing from the setup that came 16th? i know, lets add it to the car that came 1st :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Good old mcLaren, taking the adage 'if it aint broke, then over engineer it' to a new level

So we are back to equalisation of 1st place and 16th, hopefully both drivers can come 7th and 8th and Button doesnt look so useless!!!

I am almost willing to see Lewis' car compromised to help Button look better as that will be very very funny, especially when Lewis still whips Jenson

I just came back from mine. :D

Anyway, I think you're both overreacting a bit. This is all media talk for "We are there to help Jenson", I'm sure Lewis will voice out of the setup is going in a direction he doesn't want it to. He's not mute. :hehe:

Jenson has openly said he's going to copy Lewis' setup, and McLaren are a top team. They won't move the direction of their development away from a winning car...if they do, they won't be a winning team.

I'm sure Lewis will be in the Top 3 again in Qualifying...and Button maybe in the Top 10.
