Their exchamge made the race for me. Alonso still fought even when he had nothing to fight with, and Lewis tried to overtake even when he could have sat back and waited for the next DRS. It shows the character of both.

I think the respect is reciprocated by Alonso, which presumably is why he doesnt want lewis in Ferrari

The more I think about it, the more I think it'd be quite fun to see Lewis leave McLaren and head off to pastures new. After having won this years WDC title of course.

I can't really see it happening, to be honest. Not in the near future, anyway.

it's clear to you, it's not clear to me there's definitely a H E likely an R it's leaning your way 75%... but all I'm saying is that is wouldn't stand up as irrefutable in a court of law so that's why I'd love to hear the rest of the sentence since it was obviously cut off, maybe even on purpose.

Dude i watched the actual thing on BBC iPlayer (here, although you may not be able to watch in the US) in the post race interviews so i dunno why you are trying to argue with me about it the full quote is "I love racing with Fernando. He's... you know, he's like the best driver here, so to race alongside him is pretty awesome."

So another example of mutual respect between those two, even though the media always try to play up this stupid thing where they hate each other etc etc.
