Does the fact that Lewis won in Canada assure that he'll have a poor performance in Valencia? That seems to be the recurring theme of the year, let's see who breaks the pattern first.

The way things are going this season, I wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Grosjean or Perez win in Valencia with one of their one stop strategies; if McLaren decided to one stop Hamilton, Grosjean would have won in Canada. Although I would tip Alonso to win in the Spanish GP part II, it seems his home crowd gives him an extra 1-2 tenths of a second per lap!

Grosjean one stopped remember, there's nothing to say Lewis's tyre deg and subsequent pace would be the same as Sebs/Ferns or same as Grosjeans.

I should have said *could* have won! But you're right, we don't know and I guess we'll never know now, but it could have been a winning strategy for Lotus!

I don't think Mclaren will be fighting for the win here, more of a traction track plus lots of sharp fast corners like Monaco. I think it could be between Redbull and Lotus...but of course I'll be wrong...since this is the 2012 Pirelli show. :D

Lewis made his tyres last in the Spanish GP when he started from the back...so he does have the potential to pull a stunt like Gros and Perez. On the other hand , yesteday just before his second stop he looked to be slowing slightly in comparison to Alonso and vettel, he also said his tyres were stating to go. But maybe he hadnt been driving it the way he would for a one stopper, he'd always intended to do two yesterday.

I incorrectly predicted a Lotus win in Canada, although i was only 3s off.... :P But here, i am more sure that it will be very hot, so i will make my Lotus to win prediction once again. Pending car updates though, i worry they might be falling back in some areas...

I expect Alonso to have a good race on home turf too. Although to say Alonso will have a good race is stating the obvious i guess :hehe:

Intentionally writing "vettel"?

Last year, McLaren had no pace in Valencia. I hope this doesn't occur again!

8th different winner?? Is is possible?? :drink:

I think Alonso's gonna break the trend in Valencia.

Yeah, i think lewis was driving it 2 stop stylee, and alonso was thinking "i can have him if i one stop"
