If Grosjean does manage to get past the first couple of laps, he tends to bring the car home well inside the points, challenging for a podium, Grosjean has been a revelation for me since his return, often putting his world champion team mate in the shade. As for Schumacher, he has been by far the unluckiest driver in 2012!

Agreed! I'm a rosberg fan so i don't feel bad for mr. 7 time champion at all...plus he is mr. 7 time champion so he's had his fun :hehe:

I won't shed a tear either, I have long disliked Schumacher for his cheating antics, I guess you could call his bad luck this season, KARMA! :hehe:

600 euros in my pocket from a bet on hamilton :wine:
It was a wild night yesterday :drink:

Now after the celebrate, I am a bit worried about the overall pace of McLaren seeing Massa doing pretty well and Button falling so far behind, ( we all know Lewis can do magic, even not having the fastest car and I think thats what we saw yesterday) .
Ferrari have made a big step and they might have the upper hand on a few of the remaining GPs, with Red Bull always in the game...

That was a brave bet, considering all the screw ups we've seen from McLaren this year! Well done. :hehe:

I was pretty happy with their pace as well, hotter temps were not McLaren's ally but they still managed to reel in the Redbull which outqualified them by 0.3seconds....again, where do they get this crazy pace in qualifying from? Everyone is mystified by their unnatural pace in qualifying, in the race though it seems whatever advantage was there has vanished. :scratchchin:

Agree with all this. I disliked Schumacher because of the cheating so I cant feel too bad now that he's getting the rough end of things...but for some reson I do feel a teeny bit sad for him, I think because I admire him for coming back and sticking at it, I didnt ever admire him much the first time round.

Grosjean I had completely overlooked and knew little about. Now Im a firm fan, he has what it takes and is so sweet, cant beat that smile :D

I have to question Force india and Paul DiResta. It almost appeared he was ordered to pit on lap 12 when he began to hold up cars such as Mercedes etc. Does force india have a clause to stop them holding up teams like mercedes in return for engines?

Yes Paul's tyres where in a bad phase when he got the message but there must have been life in those tyres as they designed to cope with more than 12 laps of heavy wear. alot of cars were running 40 laps on each set of tyres so when he pits on lap 12 of a 70 lap race you have to ask questions.

All I can say is surprising race. I feel sooo sooo sorry for Schumacher.

This season is rubbish and formula one is turning out to be a real farce. 7 different winners? The sport is dominated by a magic flappy thingy and tires that shred too easily.

Saying it's rubbish is harsh but it is getting ridiculous - far too much like Mario Kart. I'm all for a close season with multiple winners but the DRS, fragile tyres and KERS are ruining my enjoyment. Take the sport back a few years when no gimmicks were needed would be fantastic however the cars have evoloved to such a point that they will only become more complex and more gimmicks will be needed.

Races are hardly won by racing, although Hamilton drove an excellent drive, it seemed that only he was getting much use out of those tires. Vettel and Alonso looked too slow compared to him.

Yeah, the tyres count for far too much but all the winners this season have probably won by getting it right with the tyres.

The tires are shocking this year and it's a really bitter pill to swallow. What I would like to see now is some consistency. It's really stupid trying to explain to new fans that Formula One is like this and it's the "pinnacle of racing." :bs:

Pinnacle of racing with tyres made of sponge!

So according to you guys great racing = predictable bunch of drivers in front?

Not at all. Look at F1 20 years ago. No DRS, KERS or tyres made from silk and the racing was more exciting. Take the cars back to a more basic evolution to what they have now is the solution.
