Maybe so. Redbull has taken a bit of a bound in the WCC now, with McLaren falling into range for Ferrari and Lotus. Personally, it'd be fair play if McLaren fall further back behind these 2 as well as they deserve to, and Lewis to still clinch the WDC by the end of the season. The way Button is driving, this is a possibility.

McLarens pitstop was a sub 4.5s in Monaco while both Alonso's and Vettel's were 3.5s. I'm really getting sick of McLarens pitstops now, they are a top tier team which can't get their goddamn stops right anymore. What's going on? :censored:

Maybe they're not a top tier team anymore?

I second that motion, the name gives the air of top tier...doesnt mean it will always be that way.

Overtaking Alonso twice = SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET

Finally, a reason to bring this thread up... :D
Vettel didn't defend at all, and that was a right decision. Well earned win by Hamilton today.

If the strategy works the team look like geniuses, when it doesn't well you know how McLaren has been of late. Chalk this up simply as you win some you lose some.

Hammer, is it reasonable to say this was equal parts McLaren being more clever and Lewis driving above everyone in Canada?

I'm just saying...

I think it all just came together this weekend for the first time. Lewis was always driving bloody well, he should've had Shanghai and Barcelona as well if not for team mishaps.

Mind you, this was not a perfect feat...their pit stops were still the worst out of the three leading drivers. First was a delay by Hamilton, second was the rear right tyre delaying him almost 2 seconds. Their pit stops are a real mystery this year.

I heard that! It bugs me that we continue to predict bad pitstops for McLaren and they continue. how long should it take for a top team to sort such a straightforward task. If nothing, they are consistent. :P

Lewis was brilliant today. A very sweet win taking apart Seb and Alonso at the end. Superb Lewis. You're the man!!

IMO, Lewis is without a doubt the best racer we've seen since Mr. A. Senna. 8-)

yes he certainly ''took apart'' those 3 second a lap slower cars using DRS very well.

I agree, RoGro and Perez took them apart much better. :hehe:
