In football (soccer) there's a lot of dirty tackles, elbows to the face and other contact and that stuff has always gone on during play, if a player was to do something like that at halftime when everyone's making their way to the tunnel it's a completely different matter and takes a different mindset, what Maldonado did in practice and a winding down lap is more like the latter imo.

exactly, both his move on lewis and on perez were not even heat of the moment, they were calculated moves on laps in practice!

I agree with what some of you are saying in his defence, but if hes done it twice in his comparably little time in F1, whats he going to be like if hes ever fighting for a title? and i dont agree with what the guy said about a fistfight being more dangerous, i think theres such a small chance of them being hit (of course not having seen this i could be completly wrong here :) ), wheras with the pastor incidents there was 100% chance he was going to hit them and the only question was the damage, look at the marshall he hit ffs! (unforgivable in my eyes)

Like i said, 3 strike system, hes had 2 in f1 now in my eyes i hope he learns from them, IMO 3 and you should be gone
