Just because a driver has had a spell of bad races doesn't mean that they should be replaced.

If anyone doesn't understand the reasons why this might be the case, then I think their understanding of how F1 works is very poor.

I can explain further if it's needed. I.e. if there are people out there whose understanding of F1 is very poor. And I'll keep the rhetoric simple so that you can understand it.

Yep, a poor spell does not mean game over. If it did I guess both McLaren drivers would be in the dole que by now.

Yep Lewis' poor spell is comparable to Jensons bad spell. Lewis' worst season ever included races where he came last of the established drivers and failed to score points even without dnfs. And Button has always been a good qualifier and consistent winner even in bad cars, this is just a blip, he will soon be back to out driving a car that is not the best every race, like Lewis and Alonso

Maybe his fleeting dip in form is due to embarrasment at having declared himself the no1 at Mac and how Alonso was no threat to his title
