Looking foward to this race, the top 3 guys look really strong, can't wait! But the only thing I hate about this gp is the time zone, Had a look at the live coverage times here and it starts arounds 3am-3:30am  The organisers must of pushed the race later in the afternoon or something??? don't remember it starting at that time last year. I remember last year I was having monday breakfast by the time the race finish, if i had a repeat of last years race it would almost be midday lunch :hehe:

I will have to buy myself some coffee today I think :coffee::coffee:

Yes races in the American time zones suck! It's right there in the time that's too early to get up or too late to stay up. Might as well do an all nighter.

All nighter for sure

Us americans have this predicament almost every grand prix so it's nice for a change that I will be able to go watch the race live at the pub at 11am

Once again Jenson is unlucky. according to his team, if he had better luck in the last few races he would have qualified at the front and gone on to win, instead he keeps getting bad luck like10 drivers quicker than him over a lap.

At least he made it into the top 10 this time and beat Pastor, who is fast and a race winner. Massa has turned his season around now that the Ferrari is a fast car, so there is hope for Jenson yet, unless the Mclaren is faster than the Ferrari over a lap, in which case mass having his worst season is able to beat Jenson comfortably

Maybe next season when McLaren have Jenson as their main challenger along with Di Rasta, we will finally see Button qualifying well every race, but hold on, Di Rasta beats Jenson also for pace, maybe Di rasta will become the team leader at the new mid grid Mclaren next year.

It's actually laughable hearing Jensons and the bias bbc f1/sky f1 team make excuse for this overrated non starter.Last years win against Lewis after the media gang up on Lewis went to his head,he actually started to believe the media and fan hype that he was better than Lewis. Now we move on to 2012 and Lewis has no baggage and the media mind games do not effect him, thanks to his adviser,Button is being exposed as the below average driver he is lmfao.

Wait, was it no grip button who said that Alonso was not the threat, lolololol, how pathetic he must feel now and silly.Jenson was lucky to get into q3 yesterday and was never any good at quali.

He needs to be replaced and Mclaren should take a page out of Ferrari's book and back their fastest driver,Lewis Hamilton. As long as they have Jenson slow mo Button in the team they are not going to win the constructors.Button is letting the team down and making nothing but excuses,i bet the Jenson fans and the brittish media are pulling they're hair out lmfao.

Just because a driver has had a spell of poor performances and results, that doesn't mean that their career is over and they should be put out to pasture. Particularly before we see what their strategy allows them to do (or not do) in the race.

Who said anything about Buttons career being over, did i miss something i said in my post?

Like Button,i guess you believe Alonso is not a threat, right?

Again,it's actually laughable reading the excuses from slow mo's fans and media groupies, you're not one are you?

Hi folks, Im back :D
It looks close at the front for todays race with the best three drivers filling the top three slots. Mouthwatering. I think Mclaren will need to up their game if lewis is to remain in contention throughout the race. I think the heat will hurt the Mclaren and there is no room for loosing seconds in pitstops...so I think Lewis has a tough day at the office ahead.

That Ferrari is looking good!!

You said "he needs to be replaced". I'll admit that the words "career over" were a slightly exaggerating reply in terms of Button and your comment, but I don't think unreasonably so. Button being replaced at McLaren could quite easily be the end or ending (e.g. moving way down the field) of his career. Particularly if he actually was an "overrated non starter" as you said (to which I disagree).

So, I think my comment is quite reasonable, and I think that your reply is splitting threads and avoiding the issue.

Well if some random person on the internet says "I disagree" to something I've written without giving any sort of explanation why they disagree, then that's not something I think is worth giving any consideration to.

Button is a good driver, and is a better number 2 than most teams on the grid have, however, he will never be the best driver for one reason. When the tough gets going, the Button starts moaning.

A quick comparison to back up my points.

When Button has a bad car, he starts shouting "Ive got no grip" over the team radio. How are the team supposed to know what that means. Button is currently 7th in the championship with arguably the best car so far this season.

When Alonso has a bad car, he dig's his heels in and wrestles the car around the track, never complains, just gets on with it and gives 110%. Alonso leads the championship in probably the 5th or 6th quickest car so far.

As much as people hate it, Alonso is probably the best driver in F1 at the moment (Vettel and Hamilton are not far behind though). If any of those 3 win this seasons championship, they fully deserve it. Lewis would be leading in the best car if the McLaren pitcrew didn't mess him up this season (They have cost him points in every race except Malaysia).

For the race, I am really looking forward to the top 3 drivers in F1 fighting hard for the win this evening :D

Again, being replaced is not the same as career over so your comment was way over exaggerated.Fact is i never mentioned slow mo's career is over,it's as simple as that.

Let's not make it up as we go along.

I notice how you fail to mention the rest of my post, ill ask the question again: do you think Alonso is not the threat like your non starter boy button?

Again,it's embarrassing and laughable reading the pathetic excuses the Jenson media groupies keep making for the non starter.

Jenson's problem was or is, he believed the media hype and now it's come back to bite him in the bottom.

Well then, for the people whose interpretative abilities are rather limited, I'll rewrite it in baby rhetoric that you can understand.

Just because a driver has had a spell of bad races doesn't mean that they should be replaced.

If anyone doesn't understand the reasons why this might be the case, then I think their understanding of how F1 works is very poor.

I can explain further if it's needed. I.e. if there are people out there whose understanding of F1 is very poor. And I'll keep the rhetoric simple so that you can understand it.
