As always when the going gets tough, Alonso threw a wobbler and lost his way.

An even when he won, he threw a wobbler at Massa for putting a scratch on his car that would easily come out with a bit of T-cut.

mm. Alonso didnt do quite as well with that equipment

Hamilton and Alonso both finished on the same number of points, had the same number of podiums and had the same number of wins. The difference was not in the driving, but in terms of who kept their cool. As always when the going gets tough, Alonso threw a wobbler and lost his way.

Hamilton did do slightly better with the equipment provided by Mclaren, 4 2nd compared to Fernando's 3, although it was reversed for the 3rd place finishes. Poles Hamilton 3 (officially including Hungry despite what people say) and 2 for Alonso (again with the result in Hungry included) Fastest Laps 3-2 in Alonso's favour. The advantage Lewis created was only marginal in terms of these stats, but as you pointed out, points and wins were the same.

I think he can. I don't think McLaren will allow it.

Agree 100%, in fact.. took the words right out of my keyboard.

I don't think Mclaren will let their 5-yr project lose out to a new acquired teammate, whom was only needed because of this very same project.

That implication could be viewed as 'team order's' though? Believe me I know exactly what you mean but McLaren is in the penultimate position as far as driver's are concerned. They are gonna kick some arse this season I predict and if they comeout on top I frankly will be thrilled. The 'driver's package' that they have is one with such potential, we have not seen a 'driver's package' like this imo since the Senna/Prost day's although alot has yet to proven.

i will regain some respect for mclaren if they let heikki win when the opportunity arises

also, although testing isnt anything to form opinions on, he is doing very well

and im also suprised at his lack of comments about the renault this year, i do like the guy more than the majority of characters in f1, if renault cant win the wdc, id like him to

Perhaps you don't listen or just want to dislike McLaren, but McLaren have a policy of equality between their drivers. Further, Hamilton has said that is the way he wants it. If you want proof of this, take last season: Alonso and Mosley said McLaren were against him, but yet they finished with the same amount of podiums, wins and points. If they were favouring one over the other, they made a right hash of it.

Perhap's it's YOU who should listen McLaren Fan without taking everyone's opinion as a stab at McLaren ! Why does every and I mean EVERY statement or comment made about McLaren that may have a negative context, ie non-worship opinion, have to turn into a "I will come to your rescue Sir Ron and McLaren" type of reply from you ? Let someone have their opinion without the bitchfest !

He can have his opinion, when it's supported by facts. My version of events are, and I've a lot more evidence in the bag. If I didn't believe things at McLaren were fair and square, I would not be happy either, for it's one of things I appreciate about the team.

i didnt say that they werent treated equally, just id respect them a bit more if they keep it neutral this time where they could favour lewis this year if they wanted

the loss of respect came from the furore last year

Forgive me, but I'm not certain I follow. Surely if McLaren we not 'neutral' last season, they would be favouring one driver over the other? Further, there was nothing and is nothing in the driver's contracts that says they are number one or number two and neither driver is being made an unofficial number one. The only time McLaren would favour one driver over the other is if one driver was out of the championship battle, it was getting towards the end of the season, and the other driver needed some support. That's common sense and any team would do it.

Uhuh, how do you know? Presenting this as fact while nobody knows what is in those top secret contracts...tztztz...

The Lewis/Heikki battle will be the best inner team battle of the season imo. Only about 6 week's to go right?

I am equally thrilled to watch the battle between KR and FM! 8)

what Fernando was having a dummy spit about last season was not that Lewis was being favoured but the fact he the great "Fernando Alonso" wasnt getting superior treatment.
Renault this year have pretty much gauranteed Fernando #1 which will be interesting as Piquet Jnr will create a stirr i rekn!

I think Heikki will give Lewis a go this year will be great :)
#30644
cause i think he can!

Hope he can. I'm not big fan of LH so far, and I liked both previous (recent) Finns in McLaren. I ended up cheering for Kimi in 2007, while I do like him I'd prefer having likable driver somewhere else :?
