I'm working Monday and Tuesday as normal. If I was off I wouldn't be doing anything for the jubilee anyway.

Come on mate, it is a once in a lifetime thing! I bet you could not be bothered by the wedding last year either.

The wedding of 2 complete strangers was of no interest to me, nor is this aniversary of another complete stranger. If I get married the country won't stop for me, nor will it stop for me if I do my job for 60 years.

What are you Brits celebrating again? Somebody got really old really slowly in a job that isn't really a job. So basically you're celebrating being a celebrity for 60 years! Tsk, tsk, tsk, these Brits...

It's more England that's getting excited rather than Britain. According to the BBC, there are between 100 and 200 street closures for parties whereas in Englandshire there are circa 10,000!

And she's German - sort of. :hehe:

Today, I travelled home to Lancashire. I myself don't get myself too exited about all this type of stuff, but I was roped into performing for some celebrations in Loughton yesterday. Tomorrow, I will be watching the annual Whitsuntide parade in the small market town of Garstang. This is something I haven't done since I was a child. Looking forward to it.
