The crash at the start was neither the fault of Schumacher or Grosjean. IMO, the whole thing was a racing incident.

I think you have missed the point of this thread.

Bollocks. When I come home, late at night, the last thing I want to do is read every single comment and think hard about the "point" of a thread. I've posted my view on the crash, and that's that.

Hmm...sounds like someone's hacked LewEng's account.

It would have been a more effective post had there been anyone who was blaming Schumacher for the crash. :whip:

Ultimately this thread had no point other than to point out that fans are biased to their favoured drivers. Like its a new human behaviour that requires study...

When was the last time we had a post that explored a new human behaviour that required study. :drink:

That would be every post by a member of the LL brigade or most of Geetface9's posts. :hehe:

Fill in the names to stir the pot in your own preferred way....

If instead of Grosjean hitting Schumacher, it had been <driver1> hitting <driver2>, then the <driver1> fans would have blamed <driver2> for the incident as he didn't get out of the way.

I think I get what you mean. If for example Car 4 hit car X then it will always be car X's fault

Sort of, yes, but more general. I was trying to make the point that people's interpretation of reality seems to be highly driven by fandom. Collisions and who is to fault being one of the more common and obvious examples.
