was one funny person.

However race hick, does that mean someone who waits around the trailers in the Paddock?

A pikey is a bad slang word for a Gypsy/Irish Traveller. I would not call one a pikey to his face or you would end up being gorgeous george.

However I do enjoy watching a bit of "Big fat Gypsy wedding"

Back very slightly on topic,

I kinda get that the moderating team can't just close topics based on perceived value/usefulness of the topic, only if it breaks the forum rules. Was sort of hoping for a consensus close, but I think getting Andrew to agree with me should count for the votes of ten other posters :P

Although you kinda have to rename the thread at least, if you don't want us to being up conspiracy, also bear in mind I think some posters are saying conspiracy to mean Whitmarsh favouring Button, the implication of the word is kinda different from it's technical meaning, I think conspiracy just implies some sort of long-term nefarious plot or design that isn't in the open, not necessarily between more than one party.

I guess it does keep us occupied though,

Like Myownalias pointed out, Button has been hit by problems too,
I don't think Whitmarsh crying is such a big deal, some wins are different to others for many factors, not just determined by Button winning and not Lewis.

McLaren have made mistakes this season, and they have chocked a little, I just think some of you Lewis fans come across as a little spoilt or insecure, you're used to him competing for championships, that's how and why you guys got into supporting him, and judging by the posts made you're also used to him beating his team mate easily. Jenson comes along, is no pushover, is good at traits you guys don't really value in Lewis (working with engineers, stargety etc.) and start slating him, bringing Whitmarsh favouring him into the equation. It's a long very competitive season, as others have pointed out, other teams have made many mistakes, Redbull with Webber going (well not going out) in Q2 in Barcelona, Lotus's first two races, Perez with Sauber in Malaysia, Merecedes with Schumachers retirements, Ferrari's poor preforming car. . .

It's a very close season (I contest it's all [or even in majority] a lottery down to the tyres), the team's strategists are under more pressure than even they are used to compared to previous time in formula 1.

Well said. But then it's more logical that an intra team conspiracy to halt Lewis exists... :hehe:

No Bud, much as you keep insisting there is no evidence of a conspiracy. Sorry.
#304152
Yep thats me. And if you read my post properly the conclusion is NO CONSPIRACY AT MCLAREN  But you keep saying there is :yikes:

We how'd you know my favourite song is called Circles by Birds of Tokyo?

Team fcuking over Lewis = conspiracy theory.

End of.
#304154
Team?? The team arent doing that to Lewis. Where's your evidence for that?
Yes you're right about circles. Im sure I came to this conclusion in my openning post. Yet here we are again back to square one with the conspiracy talk

Ok Rocket Science 101 NOT class

According to Racebabes conclusions

Button and Hamilton, vastly different drivers
Both allowed to challenge for WC
Whitmarsh approach to managing is opposite to Ron
Whitmarsh wants to do better than Ron
Team arranged for harmony, instead of two sides competing, both sides amalgamated into a loving caring centrally controlled unit. Equalising the drivers is the game
Development, setup and strategies geared towards satisfying drivers with different abilities
Side effect is that the weaker driver gains by this equalisation, the stronger driver is hampered
Operational deficiencies arise and the teams process are inferior to other top teams
Confusion reigns on race day with a central control making 'on the fly' strategy calls for both drivers bearing in mind one has a very limited set of preffered options and the other can max any option. Comedic situations occur
Constant mistakes, staff leave, staff unmotivated, more mistakes than other teams who operate traditional ruthless competition between 2 halves of the team
The naive and inefficient management initiatives cause team to become a laughing stock with their fastest pit stops at the middle of the range for all teams (including budget outfits)
Farcical situation comes to a head
Whitmarsh suddenly realises that the better driver is doing better and therefore needs at least not to be hampered by trying to help the weaker driver

According to the conclusions of the rocket science students;

A conspiracy does not exist at Mclaren
Nothing is wrong at Mclaren
They dont make more mistakes that others
They are not weaker on strategy calls etc than others
They are slicker than Red Bull Merc and Ferrari at operations on race day
Lewis is not being hampered by the team
Jenson is not being hampered by the team
Posting pictures of cats is witty clever and amusing
Posting pictures of tim foil is even more witty clever and amusing

And both conclusions are posted ad infinitum or ad nauseam (whichever comes first)

The only conspiracies here is why a common sense challenged individual was allowed to lead a team with a wealth of resources and pedigree and why cats are preferred by the rocket scientists
