Missed this little snippet that came out yesterday.
ESPN F1 Reports; Lewis Hamilton says he is happy at McLaren this year and is not entertaining thoughts of leaving the team any time soon.

Hamilton's contract with McLaren will expire at the end of 2012 and last year he was linked to a move to Red Bull after a difficult start to the season. But he currently leads the championship after finishing third at the first three races and insists he is not contemplating a move to another team.

"It is not about being persuaded, I don't need persuading," he was quoted by the Times. "But the team are doing fantastic. I could not be happier in the team. I am definitely consistent this year - consistently third. But I am happy, given the way we have quite a few points and are still in the fight."

Last year Hamilton admitted problems in his personal life had a knock-on effect on his driving, but in 2012 he is much happier and spoke of his renewed bond with his father.

"Everything is better this year," Hamilton said. "The team is better, the car is better, I am a lot better and I have got my dad here [in China]. And that is not fake. We have a really good bond now. We are on the up. Things are great and that's reflected in my performances."

All that bollocks linking him with RBR, just because someone saw him talking briefly to Horner is such :bs:

I said that at the time, and I revel in the fact that I was right...

...again. :P:whip::wink:

These two will be doing a fair bit of clambering up the order tomorrow, after a disastrous qualifying. How far up do we think each will manage to climb?

Points for both?

At the going rate of screw-ups at McLaren, at least one of them won't finish the race

Well I would imagine Jenson would be going to bed tonight feeling like one lucky little boy. Another out of jail free card.

10th on the grid is hardly lucky!

I'm quite shocked at all the Jenson-bashing that's going on around the forum at the moment. Look at this poll though guys... he's still leading it...just! He can't be that bad in everyone's minds!

But he's at the centre of the conspiracy that isn't a conspiracy. Did you not know that he's brainwashed Whitmarsh (used Head & Shoulders) or has he got to you as well? :hehe:

to be fair, you can't change your vote. I'd vote for Hamilton now if I could.

Still, I agree, way too much Jenson Bashing.

No but when your temamate is 24th after getting pole, that is one lucky break when you only qualified 11th. :P

Jenson did suck really badly in Spain... it's embarrassing to be beaten by your team mate in the same car when starting 14 places ahead... I am a Jenson Button fan but I will call him out when he performed like a rookie in his first race, time to step up to the plate Mr. Button and prove your detractors wrong!

your right mate, Button lost some stock

Indeed, but I like Jenson because he doesn't make excuses as such, yes he complains about handling etc, but all drivers are doing that recently; Jenson tends to say something like "we weren't quick enough today", it's not the car and he knows that, for Lewis to come from 24th to 8th, there is clearly pace in the McLaren!

Lewis works better with a loose back end

I'd hate to be the one that has to clean the inside of his car after the race... :yikes:
