Wet Monaco = guaranteed EPIC. The prospect of a wet race at Monaco is for me one of the biggest draws of F1.

1996 anyone? :D

I don't think Schumi would agree with that.

Yeah i remember watching that as a kid, utterly mind blowing stuff when only 3 (THREE!!!) guys where going at the end!! Probably the craziest race i ever saw live. 1997 was an incredible display by Schumacher, i remember watching that too, although in terms of entertainment it can't match the carnage of 1996 for me. '08 was good too even if Kubica got screwed out of a win by safety car timing. :(

What year was it when it was between Schumacher and DC...and Schumi wrecked his car somewhere and DC won the race? I think Mika finished 2nd. That was quite thrilling as well.

Oh and also 2002...DC absolutely bunching the whole field up (with his engine smoking away), and still winning the race..turned out to be McLarens only win that season.

Oh, a video i saw recently and enjoyed - awesome Monaco action, some supreme examples of car control by Alboreto on this vid (check out his freaking amazing pass on Mansell at around 1 minute in).

Never happened. Coulthard won twice (2000 and 2002). In 2000 Schumacher retired with a cracked exhaust and Coulthard inherited the win, with Häkkinen finaishing 6th. In 2002 Coulthard won withSchumacher finsihing 1.02s behind. Can't Monaco you're thinking about.

I think you might be thinking of the qualifying where he stuck it in the wall? There was some drama about that. I might be wrong though.

He did win in 2001.

Predictions for Pole and WIn?

A lot of pundit are saying Hamilton for both.

Did they take into account what team he drivers for? Mistaking McLaren. :hehe:

Second most successful team EVER I might add! Even the best have their moments (even if they all come at once!) :P:wink:

THREE!! :thud:

I cant remember the years but two things I remember liking about Monaco's of yesteryear (you have to realise I was very much in my anti Schumacher phase...Damon was my man) Was.....
1) Schumacher setting off in the rain and putting it immediately in the wall :hehe:
2) For some bizarre reason I seem to remember an audacious overtake of Schumachedr by Wurtz. I can remember the bit of track . Schumacher got him back i think, but it was still good.

It's one of those iconic moments which seems to stick in the mind forever. I was 7 at the time, and didn't even follow F1, but I've seen it enough times to have it etched in memory.

Entry to the tunnel. Magic.

And 15-time winners of the Monaco GP. That's 6 more than the second-place team Ferrari.
