Sorry Bud but it is going to happen soon. I just hope Ferrari is dominate enough to stop McLaren from winning anything this year and the next few just enough time for Mercedes to buy out all of McLaren so therefore once it is Mercedes, if they beat Ferrari I wont care.

No comment. That's what the Mercedes-Benz communications office had to say in response to rumors that the company is preparing to take over McLaren, the racing team and engineering firm of which Daimler already owns 40%. The report comes from Auto Motor und Sport and suggests not only that Mercedes is considering a buy-out of McLaren, but that the deal has essentially already been hammered out.
The remaining 60% is shared by team principal Ron Dennis and his Saudi business partner Mansour Ojjeh (at 15% each) and Bahraini holding company Mumtalakat, to which Dennis and Ojjeh sold 30% last year. Daimler therefore has the largest interest in McLaren, but if it wanted to take complete control it would have to negotiate with the three other shareholders, or else take controlling interest of 55 or 70% by buying out either Dennis, Ojjeh or the Bahraini partners.
McLaren currently produces the SLR supercar for Mercedes. Although Mercedes is reportedly turning to AMG spin-off HWA for its next supercar, McLaren is meanwhile proceeding with its own P11. Of course, McLaren also fields Mercedes-powered Formula One cars. If Daimler did buy out McLaren, as has long been rumored, it would effectively become the Mercedes factory works team, much like Honda bought BAR and BMW took over Sauber.

Mercedes tipped to buy out McLaren

Insiders are predicting that DaimlerChrysler will be buying out McLaren very soon, a move that McLaren chief Ron Dennis apparently welcomes.
Mercedes-Benz and McLaren already have very close relations. For starters, Mercedes is McLaren's engine partners in Formula One. The two also collaborated on the SLR project, which is anticipated to be followed by more supercars in the future. Mercedes also already owns forty percent of the British outfit.

The remaining sixty percent is owned by Dennis and his partner Mansour Ojjeh, but that could change in the near future. Insiders say the last remaining obstacle is fiscal timing, meaning that, literally, it's just a matter of time until Mercedes completes the buyout, which some say has already been negotiated, just not yet announced.
Given the two companies' close collaboration, we wouldn't be surprised, especially in light of the increased ownership of F1 teams by major automotive manufacturers. Honda recently bought out what was previously the BAR-Honda team. BMW took over Sauber. Renault bought out the Benetton team just a few seasons ago. Toyota has their own team, and Fiat's baby Ferrari has been running their show since the dawn of F1. The Mercedes buyout of McLaren will only be the latest such move.
hehehehehe soon I'll be celebrating as the true enemy will be destroyed.
