How strange. So both had damage but neither knew how theyd got it. maybe because the wing was too close to the ground? :P

Well what a season this is turning out to be!

5 different winners from 5 different constructors winning the first 5 races. Whoever said F1 was boring?

Nice drive from Hamilton, should've had Rosberg at the end. Lotus let another possible victory get away with poor strategic decisions during the race. What happened to Button's pace? Weird seeing Red Bull finish off the podium. Raikkonen looked as ecstatic as ever to get another podium...

And Fernando Alonso is joint leading the championship! Wonder during pre-season testing what his reaction would've been if you'd have said to him, "By the way Fernando, you're going to be joint leading the driver's championship after the 5th race."

HAPPY 70th BIRTHDAY SIR FRANK WILLIAMS!!! However, this MUST be a consipracy!! Bernie let the Williams win from pole as a birthday present to Sir Frank!!

Going back to the changing of the Red Bull noses. I have a theory, but Im not sure if the rules would allow it, or even if its feasible, so I'll just run it past you and see what you think.

I think they had two front noses for each driver, one set up for a car with a heavy fuel load and one set up for a car with a light fuel load. The one set up for the light fuel load would make such an improvement in lap times at that point in the race, that it is worth the time taken to swap the nose, especially if its done with a tyre change.
Would that work?

Interesting theory, but I don't think so. Webber actually slowed down massively before changing the nose and even he doesn't know why. This doesn't point towards Redbull trying to take advantage in the pitstops.

My theory is more of Redbull trying to hide some secrets under the carpet. Those famous front wings of last year, probably designed more stringently this year was probably flexing so much/or something that it was causing problems, and they were forced to change both noses on the cars in order to keep their closets...locked. :D

The flapletts on the upper left hand side of the wings had a little too much flappynes to them as if the support structure cracked, it was clearly visible on the replays.

Did anybody notice this, too? FA had a little map of the track in his cockpit on his right hand side (clearly visible when he got into the car before the start). It had some numbers/letters(?) as well, like sectors maybe?
What the heck? I'd imagine he knows his way around by now?
Do other drivers have that as well??

All cars have it (or at least i'm sure they do), yeah. There are two main uses for it that i know of, the more obvious and primary use is for when they are discussing track feedback with engineers - they can easily point to a certain turn to describe car behaviour etc. The other one that i've heard is that if i driver has a big crash and gets knocked out then they can tell where they are when they come round, but i don't really think that is the case myself.

That's pretty lame though because they all know the tracks in and out (think of all the laps plus simulators).

Martin Brundle explained what they were a couple of weeks back but I can't for the life of me remember what he said exactly!

All I can remember is that he said they're not there to help the driver remember the circuit.

You'll find every car has it, it might even be a regulation I'd say.
