It appears that Craig Longdon has left McLaren after getting the blame for what happened yesterday.

He also predicts that Martin Whitmarsh will leave soon because of the pressure.

I attempted to write a post discussing possibilities of "what is really going on at McLaren". However, I deleted it unposted as I can't make sense of what is going on.

Clearly there are deep issues within the team. But what on earth are these deep issues?

Craig Longdon said that he had no choice. That he was forced out.

The whole thing suggests "management issues", or even "boss from hell" scenario, to me.

What are the odds on Ron returning as team principle?

They need to sort this out, Hamilton can be temperamental, and he's in the last year of his contract, he might just decided to leave out of frustration.

We also have the evidence in the fact that on the forumula1.com front page is a news article with mateschitz saying horner and tost or whoever are safe, so perhaps mateschitz heard about folks leaving mclaren and wanted to reinforce that isn't gonna happen with red bull, since they made a blunder by not getting webber into Q3. Just speculation tho hehe. Surely we'll hear something during the pre race show though? I hope so, looking forward to it!

Whitmarsh has denied staff have left and says more will be revealed when they go on air. I guess he cant say McLaren is falling apart around his ears though can he, and if he's denying it it must be a pretty strong rumour.

I would say "a little haphazard" rather than "falling apart".
