I did stop watching when Honda (Well, BAR) got chucked out for two races. I tuned back in for Monaco because Jens was doing the commentary, but basically yeah.

Actually, it would depend on the situation. I probably wouldn't stop completely, but I would only have a passing interest.

Where's the love of F1 in general? Can we assume you, among a few other's, will no longer be around once JB, RB, FA, Fisi and other's either retire or go to touring car's? Why not get ahead start on the number of post on those website's now instead of wasting your time here?

Yah I'm being a major arse but the concept I'm seeing is just being a fan of who's hot at the moment and I call it the Britney Spear's complex! :roll:

Anyone that big of a Jensen fan should learn to spell it, especially if it's in his username.

McLaren Fan wrote :
Formula One did just fine when Ferrari didn't win diddly squat. In fact, the era of McLaren and Williams domination from the early 1980s to late(ish) 1990s was a time the sport became massively popular, hugely wealthy and was most exciting.

Yes, Formula One would be worse off and totally lack something if Ferrari left, but so long as they weren't a top team, their demise wouldn't be the death knell for the sport.

ummm well maybe but at the time 70% of the worlds F1 supporters went for Ferrari as well. The thing is not all Ferrari supporters are hardcore like me. The ones that are not which are the majority don't mind seeing other teams win and given the McLaren and Williams domance of that time provided good entertaining racing than that was I guess good. But what was wrong with the Ferrari Vs McLaren battles of the 2000s? I mean Ferrari only really was a world ahead of the rest in 2001, 2002 and 2004. In 2000 and 2003 McLaren could of easily won and also last year as well. Why was this not good enough for you? Because your team didn't win in the end. I had to accept McLaren always winning before and now the tables have turned and its Ferraris turn. Anyways after the turn of events from 1999 onwards F1 has been more exciting for me. Yes I am hardcore tifosa but loosing all the time made me dismal so I need to enjoy these high times while it lasts.

But would Brabham and Tyrrell still be the same teams now without Jack/Bernie and Ken in charge?

You could always say that Tyrrell lives on in Honda (via BAR)

True AKR may have some kind of breakdown, but normal people would get on with life. Lotus dominated the sport not so long ago and now they dont exist, who misses them now?

Define 'normal' :roll:

And I do miss some of them.

OK smarty pants let me re define - replace 'normal' with 'the vast majority' and, alright, I was trying to keep it as brief as possible, yes I too miss some of the teams, some of them had real character and many failed because of a lack of cash rather than a lack of ability or commitment. Hesketh was a good example of this. My point is :- whoever leaves the sport , the sport goes on, and would go on if Ferrari left, and we fans (normal!!! 8) ) would, well most of us anyway.
:wink::)
Some of the later posts suggest that most of us would continue as fans whatever happens, and the number of previous teams that are unknown to most, is proof of that. Hesketh had a tremendous following in their day and so did Lotus.

What a fantastic list jabberwocky. Where did you get that from?
