going forward in time is a piece of cake... it's going back that's tricky.

Yeah I often stumble on a worm hole or bend the space time continuum :hehe:

Your friends make you eat the worm at the bottom of the bottle?

Ooops, turns out it was probably a loose cable.

Picard once said that everything is impossible until its not..... It made DATA think about it for a minute..

I'm sure theres a phrase or name for this such as Occams Razor or Schrödinger's cat.

My point is, if you can think it, it can be done, no matter how outragious.

The "newer" string theory may allow me to do just that.. Maybe I have eaten it already, no matter how large or infinitesimally small, relatively speaking... energy, mass and time elude you my dear colleague.. me as well..

Could Tractor Beams Be Made From Light?

Interesting article on Wired about tractor beams. We don't seem to have an official science thread so I though to put it here since it's another trek friendly topic.

the overall shape of the wave moves in one direction (carrying the wave’s electromagnetic energy with it), while the individual groups of photons move in the opposite direction.

Huh?

IF it does what he hopes I think it'll be a solution looking for a problem.
