Blinkers Bud! Its just a case of how far it goes, not if it happens.

Agree with you on this one RC....

Favoritism? No favoritism at McLaren.....
""We weren't racing Kimi, we were basically racing Alonso," Dennis explained. "

Bit rich a Ferrari lamb having a say on favouritism... :P regardless, second to last race of the year it was pretty much well known that Fernando was gone he had dug himself hiswn grave so of course Dennis was rallying around Lewis as he is the teams future. Fernando was never had a less of a chance than Lewis and vice versa, the problem was he felt being reigning world champ and having a rookie team mate he deserved priority. maybe if they did do that Fernando would have won the title with ease but they felt Lewis was able to race so let him.
Even still there was the fair play tzar at the last race how on earth can there have even been that put in place? Ridiculous.

You can repeat this over and over till the Earth dies...Alonso/Ferrari fans can never believe it.

Well amazing how quiet things have gone,Lewis isn't allowed to test ,Oh McLaren hate him, they have something against him.If jenson would of wanted to test blah blah blah

Well maybe now those people can see just how little interest McLaren had in the test and how little Lewis would of achieved.

What is it with F1 fans and conspiracy theories?

I think I'm going to head over to a abducted by aliens website for some more grounded conversation.

More grounded? What? Did the aliens crash hard because they did the calculations in feet, but programmed the UFO in meters? :hehe:

You have no idea what Lewis would have achieved if he'd done the test. He wanted to get better understanding of the tyres and try to understand where the pace went in the last race. Driving the car might have gone some way to helping with those issues.

:thumbup::drink:

Some people just need an excuse when in all reality they just need to accept reality. F1 is not Harry Potter or Lord of The Rings.

See siggy  .

Is it possible McLaren were contractually obligated to run their test drivers at Mugello? For all we know, the drivers are paying McLaren for the test seats, and in return they get certain guarantees as to when and how often they drive the cars.
#302324
Yes thats a possibility. Though I would have thought McLaren would retain the power to switch things as and when they deem it neccessary.

And the team didn't want to understand those issues by not running Lewis or Jenson over Turvey and Paffett is that what you're saying? Ever think the team knows what it's doing on the development fronts?
#302336
Im saying the driver who experienced those issues in a race situation would be the best placed person to work with the team to try to remedy them
