IMO the spying scandal was a complete shambles!

Yes they were given it but they also knew that by taken it it was an illegal act and knew the consequences. Ron Dennis should of just said no thanks. :) He couldn't help but take so in this case "Cheaters do not always prosper". *LOL*

The Spy Scandal was rightfully justified and Ferrari the justful winner in the end. Once again thankyou Max Moseley. Great work Moseley. Moseley you are a hero great.:twisted::twisted:

To be fair i think the better team and driver won the Championship last year.

Well Done Kimi *applause*

Back on subject - Do you think if the role was the other way round and Ferrari were the one's with Mclaren info (which they have probably got anyway!) that the punnishment would have been the same...?

Probaly not as I think Max Moseley is a Ferrari fan. *Kiki Sighs* Oh well what can you do. F1 isn't the only corrupt sport, I know how it feels to be on both ends as a Tifosa. I am a Juventus supporter and just look at what happened to them after the Serie A Italian football scandal. I know how it feels Hamilton-Mania so in a way even though I hate McLaren I do feel for you.

last season was a bit of a farce really, it was probably best for kimi to win to at least stop all the allegations and rubbish that would have followed,

i hope for this season ferrari dont walk it, cause those years a little while back werent the most exciting.

FIA are not consistant they did not even lift a finger when Toyota got done for espionage so why was it any different for McLaren? Then the Renault case was just another slap in the face!
What ever though id prefer to be the underdog and not well liked by the governing body than a team that sucks FIA chicken ;)

You must remember though that Renault was NOT penalised by the FIA for the info they were found to have in their possesion.

"The World Motor Sport Council have found Renault guilty of spying however had decided not to punish the team.
An FIA statement reads, “An extraordinary meeting of the World Motor Sport Council was held in Monaco on December 6, 2007. The World Council found Renault F1 to be in breach of article 151c of the International Sporting Code but imposed no penalty".

It was a very very diheartening decision by the FIA which made their onesided love for Ferrari and Max Mosley's despise for Ron Dennis apparent for the world to see.

No matter how biased your opinion is Renault should have been fined, they were guilty!

It all seems very simple to me: McLaren were said to have lied and that more people than Coughlan did know about the Ferrari data. They could not, however, prove it was used on the MP4-22 (not the MP4-23). The result was a hefty punishment. In the Renault case, their knowledge of the McLaren data went to the highest levels of the team for certain, but again the FIA could not prove the data was used on the 2007 car. The result was no punishment. It's also interesting how the FIA went out of their way to acquire inadmissible evidence against McLaren, in the interests of sport of course, but did no such thing against Renault, despite them competing in the same sport and all that.
