Despite a 5 grid place penalty and horrible pitstops for 2 straight races, I think he's done exceedingly well so far. As a supporter at least, I can't complain about anything he's done so far.

I concur with that. He's been consistent and had to battle against adversity. He is doing very well considering.

Well...definitely didn't see you coming. :hehe:

Hey Lewis, don't extend the contract yet mate...Webber or Schumachers might be up by end of this year.

I hope that Lewis doesn't re-sign for McLaren then we can stop with the constant conspiracy theories, these theories only exist because Lewis isn't doing so well last/this season!

I like Lewis, but if this is how his fans are going to act unless he is pulling a Vettel 2011 then I think I'd want him to leave just for some peace and quiet from the tinfoil brigade! His problem is where does he go to please the tinfoils? Mercedes is a questionable choice as their track records not there nor is their presence as a constructor a sure thing with many on the Daimler board demanding the team pull out of F1. Redbull don't want him, Ferrari *cough* Fernando won't have him. I'm sure someone like Williams will have him but that's not going to cut it for the tinnies. Guess he'll have to stay at McLaren where I'm sure they'd love him to stay so they can go out of their way of ruining his and their own race results.

Yes, Lewis wants to win. He's a very hungry driver for speed and wins.

There's only three sure-fire teams that this will happen with - Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari.
Mercedes and Lotus would be the other two but they've only just started doing well in recent years and their success isn't guaranteed for the future. Ferrari seem to be in a rebuilding stage at the moment but they're always there or thereabouts! :)

Don't want to make this thread about Lewis (that seems to happen a lot and we have a place for Lewis discussion) but I just wanted to put my 2 pence into the discussion machine.

The same will happen only the team name and team principle will change.

Lewis to Mercedes is ludicrous. McLaren have just come off the back of a bad race. Merc only scored a sole point in the first TWO Grands Prix! Talk about bloody knee-jerk reactions. :irked:

Merc will probably have left F1 within a few years anyway. All such manufacturers are tarred with the same, dismal, corporate brush.

Surely McLaren aren't going to use their TEST DRIVERS for a TEST DAY are they ?.Oh my god they must hate both their race drivers now.

Don't you know that TEST drivers don't exist anymore; they are RESERVE drivers, expected to jump in the car at a moments notice without any track time at all!!!

Anyway to move away from just McLaren (I think some other teams may be attending), here's the full teams and drivers line-up for the test session. Red Bull are yet to decide but given the problems with their car it'll probably be Vettelk and Webber that are in attendance. The same goes for Mercedes.
