I do hope Mclaren can take back the lead in overall performance, but that showing in Bahrain was just embarassing. Really hope its a 1 off. :(

:pray::pray::pray:

The Quali pace was there, as it was in all the previous races where they still had race pace. This was the only one out of the four where their race pace dropped off, well taking into consideration Sepang was wet so ok 2 out of 3 lets say. I think the 10 degrees hurt their setup majorly.

Spain will be interesting as teams will have big updates for that race but also for the Mugello test.

Trust me, it's over with pit problems for McLaren. There's going to be a complete re-training of the crew+equipment analysis.

I don't think the crew are at fault. I think the problem lies with the aluminium wheel nut and titanium shaft combination as it seems to be a recurring problem.

I also hope all the pit equipment is figured out on all levels. I hate hate HATE it when, and this is even teams I don't like (ferrari), have pit stop issues. Its just so freaking dishearting. I like watching people get beat on the track not getting beat by faulty equipment.

The first problem wasnt a cross thread, it was incorrectly aligned.

That's human error that will happen occasionally but what about the other occasions? Just seems that the materials combination isn't the best (though a steel nut would potentially damage the shaft).

well, they've been using the same system for a while, right? And surely other teams are using a similar system without as many issues. Since they're just now having a bunch of problems, that would lead me to believe it's personnel-related.

Is EVERY thread going to be taken up by this McLaren bullpoo.

Its happened. Its in the past. Lets move on, and talk about something else. At least in ONE thread.

For the record, Im not a big fan of this track. I find corners 14 and 15 quite tricky, and can never get them perfect. Although corners 7 and 8 feel great when taken flat out.
