yeah, ive seen some of the youtube vids of some overtaking and such they really were racing with their lives at the mercy of the car and thier driving!

and they moan about tc now!

more than one driver, but only one team lol

I understand and hopefully in time your 'one team' outlook will change cause your really missing alot

That's just ludicrous - as a 'true' F1 fan it wouldn't change a bit for me if a team leaves (I'm not a team supporter) or if my fav driver stops racing (I AM a driver supporter). I just cherish the memories and move on...

as much as i like the technical side (and i do which is why id watch over a lower formula) i always feel its a team effort that is required for a car to win, which i like, and its why i support a team rather than a driver/nationality

I agree with you there. I'm surprised that so many people don't worry too much about the constructors' championship. For me, it's the main attraction. Of course I like certain drivers and want to see them do well, but not at the expense of McLaren. The only exception to that for me would possibly be Ayrton Senna.

its amazing how often names like senna, prost, etc come up, but thats just my age but i do wonder what it would have been like to see it live!

i guess im not a true f1 fan!

If Williams left F1, I'd turn my support to McLaren, or Jordan if they returned. I'd still watch it though, and I'll admit to going off F1 back in 2004 when it really got boring (mind you a lot of people did) but thankfully, the long, boring Football close season back in 2006 got me watching the Hungarian Grand Prix and seeing Button win and in the same process re-igniting my love for one of the sport I had been watching since I was 3. :)

Well... Senna was probably the best and most charismatic driver ever. His passing was a tragedy in all senses; Brazil is a very big country, and it PARALIZED (think Princess Di's death). Prost was a very different type of driver, text book-perfect, more or less a quiet guy... but on the track these two had the most intense rivalry I've ever seen. Everyone following motrosports was talking about either one...

I didn't follow F1 then as much as I do now, but I still remember the hole that Senna left. It was such a hole that after that, the most successful driver ever... putting up super-human numbers, breaking record after record etc etc... and many call that a 'boring' time for F1.

Definately it has always been the driver for me and ive switched team loyalty to go with my favourite driver but this last season i think has made me a mcLaren supporter and now i will always have an eye on them.

No, I still keep watching F1. But to punish a team that hard for a reason like 'spying' is ridiculous, because every team is 'spying' (copying) imo.

If Ferrari left F1 I would be devestated! It will probaly never happen so thank God. I remember when from 1991 until 1996 when Schumacher came Ferrari struggled to win races. They won nothing from 1991 to 1993 and won one race in both 1994 and 1995. It was depressing and I can't imagine how F1 would be without Ferrari and how I would feel. I would probaly have to walk away from F1 if Ferrari ever pulled out as I wouldn't be able to handle it.

If Mclaren was thrown out i wouldn't stop watching F1.

But if you asked me if Lewis Hamilton left Mclaren for another team would i support that team then i would say "I really have no idea"

If Mclaren was banned for a season or two and Lewis wasn't allowed to drive for anyone else my support would go to Anthony Davidson.

Huh??? In another thread you said this:

if i had a second team it would be bmw, seeing as i dislike ferarri and mclaren so much, theres no one else i like

So, if Ferrari leaves (AKR's scenario) why would you agree with her and stop watching F1?

the only team other than renault i like at all is bmw, but its only a little, not enough

i think id only watch the odd wet race and some of the better tracks, id probably watch touring car and rally more
