Would an F1 race at Losail, Qatar be feasible? Certainly there's as much money in Qatar and the facilities look good, plus another night race would be fantastic. The Moto GP, Moto 2 and 3 races were all entertaining.

Losail is a horrible track IMO.

Anyway... second pole for Rosberg on the cards anyone?

Actually, the location is kinda irrelevant in terms of the sport, seeing as all tracks get designed by Tilke nowadays.

OK, am I correct in thinking that the Singapore circuit has nothing to do with Tilke?

I'd go with that. But there's little chance for a win here, though a podium is definitely on the cards.

Herman proposed the first design for the circuit but KBR Inc. devised the final layout. So Tilke did have something to do with it. :)

Vettel really likes those hard tires. I think that with good quali pace he could be fighting for the win here, with Button, Perez... I think that tires will be a crucial factor here.

Well this is a circuit that McLaren don't do that well at.Got a feeling that might continue this weekend.Mercedes and red bull looking very strong, just looking at P3 times.I was at work so missed the session.Fingers crossed for another excting quali and race
Fingers crossed the McLaren will be quicker is race set up.Looking at yesterdays times race pace looks very even between the top 6.

Lewis was focusing on long run pace towards the second half of P3. Though I don't think he can challenge for pole here though. I think Redbull will be McLarens closest challengers this time around in the race. I'm predicting Merc would be on pole but might be battling for 5th and 6th halfway into the race.

I thought that about Merc last time out, but it didn't materialise. As usual it's hard to predict form, but Merc, McLaren and RBR are all there at the front.

No, Shanghai was really their best chance of maintaining 1st position in the race...I didn't expect them to struggle much due to very cold conditions. Even then, they were a bit on a tightrope and McLaren let them off the hook with Lewis' gearbox issue and Button's mess of a pitstop.

Let's just say if Merc wins here I will be very surprised indeed. :)

Bird hits Rosberg’s helmet during Bahrain practice

So the real threat is from the local wildlife. :hehe:

I can't imagine what that must be like, it scares the hell out of me when something small hits my windscreen at 70mph, being hit directly on the helmet by a bird at 125mph: OUCH!

No dirty jokes, thank you very much!!!

The article mentioned what I was thinking about also... the death of Alan Stacey due to similar circumstances... what a difference 50 years make!

It's a testament to the strength of the helmets!
