Helmut Marko:
"Mark is less sensitive to the [car's] behaviour. He just needs four wheels, but it's different for Vettel."

hehehe basically... Mark has a good set of balls. :drink:

How does that explain last season then?

Basically, Vettel needs a car which is tuned to his driving style to 'extract the so called maximum'. If he doesn't have one, he just sucks at it. :hehe:

Something like Button, when McLaren have an ill handling car, he's nowhere. But if the car's good he can match Hamilton pace wise.

Becuaes EBD is unnatural and Mark does not have the feel for such computer assisted aids.

yeah, more or less inline with what i was thinking.
Even last yr in a car that didnt suit him too well, Mark was gunning it. Vettel this yr looks like he is just cruising and struggling... I doubt it'll last forever though... Vettel is still really good, just needs to tweak the car a bit to make it work better for him. He really needs his poles hehe

I'm not sure it extends that far between the preferences of Vettel and Webber, maybe it is specifically the exhaust issue, plus psychological as well I think, Vettel isn't reacting so well to having to fight the car and for places again when another team has a clear advantage.

Has a reigning WDC ever not been able to get a win in his defending year?

I was going to say Hamilton...but he did manage 1. hmm..good question. Mika managed a few in 2000... wait a minute, did Michael manage one in 2005? Don't think so.

Of course, that's excluding the Indianapolis disaster. If it wasn't for that farce, then Toyota would've beaten the Scuderia to 3rd in the WCC.

It would be great to call him WDC 2010

Agreed. Then we'd have SEVEN world champs on the grid today!!
